Attorney General Jeff Sessions must stop doing private prison companies’ bidding
Private prison companies like Corrections Corporation of America and the GEO Group spent big money support Sessions and Trump -- now their investment is paying off.
Why? Just follow the money. Throughout his career, Sessions has benefited from huge sums of political spending by private prison companies. And that industry made massive investments in Donald Trump’s presidential campaign -- one firm, the GEO Group, spent $100,000 to elect Trump through a SuperPAC, then gave $250,000 to his inauguration.

The private prison market is as hot as ever. Who wouldn't want to get rich off the increasing number of incarcerated American citizens, staffers who sexually assault minors and the horrific living quarters that plague offenders and spark riots?
1. The for-profit prison industry is worth more than $70 billion.

In the old plantation system slaves off the land had to show papers tell the cops/slave catcher where he was going where he was coming from and his job and owner and if he had any live stock show proof of the owner. In 2017 the system remains any infractions of misconduct can mean death a beating detention or arrest
Air America Radio's Mike Malloy gave the most succinct and passionate explanation in his Wednesday, November 3, 2004, program :
"The American vote count is controlled by three major corporate players, Diebold, ESS, Sequoia, and a fourth, SAIC, Science Applications International. All four are hard-wired into the Bush power structure, the Bush crime family.
"They have been given millions of dollars by the Bush regime to complete a sweeping computerization of voting machines that were just used in the 2004 election. The technology involved had a trial run during the 2002 mid-term elections. Georgia had Diebold machines in every precinct. As a result, a popular Democratic governor and senator were both unseated in what the media called an "amazing" 16 percent swing.
"Diebold's Walden O'Dell, a top Bush fundraiser, publicly committed himself to delivering his home state Ohio's votes to Bush. At Diebold, the election division is run by Bob Urosevich. Bob's brother, Todd, is a top executive at "rival" ES&S. The brothers were originally staked by Howard Ahmanson, a member of the Council For National Policy, a right-wing steering group stacked with Bush true believers. Ahmanson is also one of the bagmen behind the extremist Christian Reconstruction Movement, which advocates the theocratic takeover of American democracy.
"The four companies are interconnected; they are not four "competitors". Ahmanson has large stakes in ES&S, whose former CEO was Republican Senator Chuck Hagel of Nebraska. When Hagel ran for office, his own company counted the votes, and his victory was considered "an amazing upset". Hagel still has a million dollar stake in ES&S.
"Sequoia is the corporate parent of a private equity firm, Madison Dearborn, which is partner in the Carlyle Group. (Also see here.)
"Meanwhile, SAIC is referred to a "shadowy defense contractor". They have gotten into the vote count game both directly and through spinoffs by its top brass, including Admiral Bill Owens, former military aide to Dick Cheney, and Carlyle Group honcho Frank Carlucci and ex-CIA chief Robert Gates. SAIC's history of fraud charges and security "lapses" haven't prevented it from becoming one of the largest Pentagon and CIA contractors, and will doubtless encounter few obstacles in its entrance into the vote counting business. "
My wife and I were seated next to each other but was to in mid air to move to the rear of the plane so that a family could be seated near each other. I protested but was told if I did not I would be refused the next flight at my stop over. Those in charge have absolute power and authority over all on the plane
Since the New Deal, Republicans have been on the wrong side of every issue of concern to ordinary Americans; Social Security, the war in Vietnam, equal rights, civil liberties, church- state separation, consumer issues, public education, reproductive freedom, national health care, labor issues, gun policy, campaign-finance reform, the environment
and tax fairness. No political party could remain so consistently wrong by accident.
The only rational conclusion is that, despite their cynical "family values" propaganda, the Republican Party is a criminal conspiracy to betray the interests of the American people
in favor of plutocratic and corporate interests, and absolutist religious groups.

The Low-Information American Voter
In a democracy, voting requires a certain level of intellectual engagement by the electorate. The Founding Fathers assumed that citizens would possess a minimum level of knowledge of the issues of the day, and why not? Literacy was very high even during the Colonial era. Libraries and newspapers were common in American cities, and the postal service made distribution of printed material cheap and easily accessible. What the Founders could not have imagined was an American political party that traded exclusively in lies, or a media devoted to a concept like "fake news" (aka right-wing propaganda). No, these are phenomena unique to our own cynical times, as are citizens who would cast their vote for a vulgar, dishonest and ignorant con-man.
In their naiveté, the Founders assumed that the Electoral College would protect the nation they created from the rise of a sleazy demagogue riding the passions of the ignorant and insane. But our institutions have now failed us. When Benjamin Franklin was asked if the Constitutional Convention had created a monarchy or a republic, he answered, "A republic, if you can keep it." With the election of Donald Trump as president, our generation may have failed in its responsibility as citizens to "keep it."
more americans are getting dumber listening and believing the new trump order. in less than 4 years most americans will not be capable flusing their toilet because their houses will smell of shit. putin and china will have to flush and rebuild.
i bet when trump is busted by the press for lying about his talks with the ruskies he will say i did not do so as candidate for president of usa but as a real estate developer, educator, importer of wine, steaks, chinese ties and silk ties

This is the secret of propaganda: Those who are to be persuaded by it should be completely immersed in the ideas of the propaganda, without ever noticing that they are being immersed in it.
There was no point in seeking to convert the intellectuals. For intellectuals would never be converted and would anyway always yield to the **er, and this will always be "the man in the street." Arguments must therefore be crude, clear and forcible, and appeal to emotions and instincts, not the intellect. Truth was unimportant and entirely subordinate to tactics and psychology.

Alan Greenspan: “Well, first of all, the Federal Reserve is an independent agency, and that means, basically, that there is no other agency of government which can overrule actions that we take. So long as that is in place and there is no evidence that the administration or the Congress or anybody else is requesting that we do things other than what we think is the appropriate thing, then what the relationships are don’t frankly matter.”

6 Reasons to Love Global Warming
Sometimes all we need to get by are a few encouraging words. For example, instead of being worried about global warming, why not, well, warm up to it? After all ...
1. Your trailer in the Prunedale will become oceanfront property.

Ways to Pass as a Republican
Certainly one time-honored tradition for dealing with the recent election is to flip-flop. Did I say I was a Democrat? Oh, my no, I'm a Republican. The only problem here is that you're going to have to change some of your habits, because Republicans will sniff out your hidden liberal ways if you're not careful. Thus, you must:
Forget about spending Sunday morning reading The New York Times and join a church (but never actually attend—instead, you sneak off to play golf).
Ditch that fuel-efficient Toyota Prius and buy a Hummer (explaining, of course, that you really wanted a more manly car but they wouldn't let you take a tank home).
Burn your Barbra Streisand records and replace them with Jessica Simpson's.
Stop worrying about the rights of any living adult because you now realize that all human rights begin with conception and end at birth.
Stock up on guns, big guns with lots of ammo. Fly the flag every day. Tear up at ball games. You take beer over wine, American cheese over brie. Learn a few Bible verses. When dinning with any one over 55 always give thanks to Jesus for the food before diving in. Shop at WalMart. Never use compound complex sentences or Latin stem words, stick with Anglo Saxon phrases and keep any small talk simple and direct for GOP people with no more than a 5-7th grade reading level. If you talk books, it's the Bible or pulp fiction romance or cops and robbers. Never talk politics.

The thing about government, politics, church or any group you are part of or vote for you will never get along, like or dine with the people you must do business with all or most of the time. You live with them. The living, the dead, the seen and unseen. They includes members of your own family, but to live with other people for better or worse you learn to cope with them all of the time and when you are not capable of that they either lock you away or you lock your own door and live under a rock

During the Cold War, a group of Russian journalists toured the United States. On the final day of their visit, they were asked by their hosts for their impressions. 'I have to tell you,' said their spokesman, 'that we were astonished to find after reading all the newspapers and watching TV, that all the opinions on all the vital issues were by and large, the same. To get that result in our country, we imprison people, we tear out their fingernails. Here, you don't have that. What's the secret? How do you do it?' - john pilger
Post-election battles likely as Trump supporters are in no mood for compromise or talk things out. What they lost in POTUS they plan a rebellion in congress and the state houses. Will they dump Paul Ryan
Congress passed the 15th Amendment in 1870 to give suffrage to Blacks and other nonWhites. Despite this, the South and parts of the North did not allow African-Americans to vote until the 1960s. Both parties have played the race card in blocking, caging, hadicapping and simply making it hard 4 Blacks to vote.
if you live a pretty good hollywood life that makes a good impression people will pay you for showing up for doing nothing. you can get away with most anything. if they think you are famous 4 doing nothing they will make you a sudden expert even if you were barely normal in high school and class mates thought you were most likely to be in jail or drive a mail truck. people will suggest you run for public office, but the only office you know is the law office after your second marriage. grace and forgiveness has a way of rewarding you. what's failure and prison for the many is your second act or third for success.
Reduce Democracy. Chomsky finds this acted on by the very "founding fathers" of the United States, in the creation of the U.S. Senate, Federal Courts, & POTUS , and in James Madison's statement during debate over the U.S. Constitution that the new government would need to protect the wealthy from too much democracy. Chomsky finds the same theme in Aristotle but with Aristotle proposing to reduce inequality, while Madison proposed to reduce democracy. The burst of activism and democracy in the United States in the 1960s scared the protectors of wealth and privilege, and Chomsky admits that he did not anticipate the strength of the backlash through which we have been suffering since.
Melania Trump knows about the other wives, the other women, the women before and after. She has smelled funk and scent of other women and their perfume that hangs in his clothes and skin. Her ears no longer burns with his jabber of curses and insults because she knows him inside and out. He is accepted 100%.
Once upon a time she was that young girl dreaming of glamour, pictures, fashion and a man come true. The then Prince Charming was her fast plane to the New World, the USA. He remade her but she would have to do with out clothes, her home and past as he displayed her in a magazine spread.
Donald Trump regularly incites political violence and is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist and birther who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims — 1.6 billion members of an entire religion — from entering the U.S.
The terms "Uncle Tom", " DC Jr" and "Booker T" are used as a derogatory epithet for an excessively subservient person, particularly when that person perceives their own lower-class status based on race. It is similarly used to negatively describe a person who betrays their own group by participating in its oppression, whether or not they do so willingly. The terms has also, with more intended neutrality, been applied in psychology in the form "Uncle Tom syndrome", a term for the use of subservience, appeasement and passivity to cope with intimidation and threats.People that are Uncle Toms use this defense system to appease for personal gain, to defend their ego by the use of repression of hostle feelings.
@SheriffClarke He urged blacks to accept discrimination for the time being and concentrate on elevating themselves through hard work and material prosperity. He believed in education in the crafts, industrial and farming skills and the cultivation of the virtues of patience, enterprise and thrift. This, he said, would win the respect of whites and lead to African Americans being fully accepted as citizens and integrated into all strata of society. Until the time of DuBois, Washington was among the premier of black activists. Washington's views "racial uplift" for the masses are criticized by many today as more conciliatory than in the definite interests of blacks in America.
Washinton's views on "racial uplift" were that Washington offered black acquiescence in disenfranchisement and social segregation if whites would back the idea of black progress in education, agriculture, and economics. Agriculture to Washington was one of the soul ideas of his "racial uplift" theory.
Washington had found Tuskegee Normal and Industrial Institute in black belt Alabama. He used a sharp political ability to gain his way with the whites of both the North and the South. He convinced Southerners everywhere right up to the governor that his school had education that would keep blacks "down on the farm". And to the Northerners right up to the rich that controlled everything like the Rockefellers he promised the inculcation of the Protestant work ethic all the while promising to blacks in the South that industrial education would give them the tools to have their own lands and businesses.
W.E.B. DuBois
Dubois horribly disagreed with many of Washington's opinions, but also garnered a respect for him as one of the first true black intellectuals who tried to help the black race."One hesitates, therefore, to criticize a life which beginning with so little, has done so much. And yet the time is come when one may speak in all sincerity and utter courtesy of the mistakes and shortcomings of Mr. Washington's career as well as of his triumphs, without being captious or envious, and without forgetting that it is easier to do ill than well in the world". In The Souls of Black Folk in the chapter entitled Of Booker T. Washington and Others he criticizes Washington for his stance on civil rights issues.
An avid supporter of the rights of blacks everywhere. Civic equality, education, and the right to vote. "but they are absolutely certain that the way for a people to gain their reasonable rights is not by voluntarily throwing them away and insisting that they do not want them; that the way for a people to gain respect is not by continually belittling and ridiculing themselves; that, on the contrary, Negroes must insist continually, in season and out of season, that voting is necessary to modern manhood, that color discrimination is barbarism, and that black boys need education as well as white boys." Washington and DuBois would continue to debate and be rivals til Washington's death in 1915.
"It seems to me," said Booker T.,
"It shows a mighty lot of cheek
To study chemistry and Greek
When Mister Charlie needs a hand
To hoe the cotton on his land,
And when Miss Ann looks for a cook,
Why stick your nose inside a book?"
"I don't agree," said W.E.B.
"If I should have the drive to seek
Knowledge of chemistry or Greek,
I'll do it. Charles and Miss can look
Another place for hand or cook,
Some men rejoice in skill of hand,
And some in cultivating land,
But there are others who maintain
The right to cultivate the brain."
"It seems to me," said Booker T.,
"That all you folks have missed the boat
Who shout about the right to vote,
And spend vain days and sleepless nights
In uproar over civil rights.
Just keep your mouths shut, do not grouse,
But work, and save, and buy a house."
"I don't agree," said W.E.B.
"For what can property avail
If dignity and justice fail?
Unless you help to make the laws,
They'll steal your house with trumped-up clause.
A rope's as tight, a fire as hot,
No matter how much cash you've got.
Speak soft, and try your little plan,
But as for me, I'll be a man."

Main article: Legal affairs of Donald Trump § Use of bankruptcy laws
Although Trump has never filed for personal bankruptcy, hotel and casino businesses of his have been declared bankrupt six [70] times between 1991 and 2009 due to its inability to meet required payments and to re-negotiate debt with banks, owners of stock and bonds and various small businesses (unsecured creditors).[71][72] Because the businesses used Chapter 11 bankruptcy, they were allowed to operate while negotiations proceeded. Trump was quoted by Newsweek in 2011 saying, "I do play with the bankruptcy laws—they're very good for me" as a tool for trimming debt.[73][74]
The six bankruptcies were the result of over-leveraged hotel and casino businesses in Atlantic City and New York: Trump Taj Mahal (1991), Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino (1992), Plaza Hotel (1992), Trump Castle Hotel and Casino (1992), Trump Hotels and Casino Resorts (2004), and Trump Entertainment Resorts (2009).[70][75][76] Trump said "I've used the laws of this country to pare debt. ... We'll have the company. We'll throw it into a chapter. We'll negotiate with the banks. We'll make a fantastic deal. You know, it's like on The Apprentice. It's not personal. It's just business."[65]

Family Research Council president Tony Perkins, another Trump supporter, told BuzzFeed he isn’t concerned with sharing “values” with the GOP nominee.
“My personal support for Donald Trump has never been based upon shared values, it is based upon shared concerns about issues such as: justices on the Supreme Court that ignore the constitution, America’s continued vulnerability to Islamic terrorists and the systematic attack on religious liberty that we’ve seen in the last 7 1/2 years,” he said in an email.
“I’ve listened to the LEWD TRUMP tape, my view is that people of faith are voting on issues like who will protect unborn life, defend religious freedom, create jobs, and oppose the Iran nuclear deal,” Ralph Reed, the chairman of the Faith and Freedom Coalition and a member of Trump’s religious advisory board, said in a statement. “I think a 10-year-old tape of a private conversation with a TV talk show host ranks pretty low on their hierarchy of concerns
I’m tired of divided government. It doesn’t work very well,” Ryan said recently at a Washington forum. “We’ve gotten some good things done. But the big things—poverty, the debt crisis, the economy, health care—these things are stuck in divided government, and that’s why we think a unified Republican government’s the way to go.” Ryan isn’t going to let congressional Democrats stand in his way, either: he plans to rely on the powerful budgetary tool of reconciliation, allowing much of his agenda to override Democratic opposition with a simple majority vote. With the GOP already in control of Congress, all Ryan needs is a President Trump to shred America’s social safety net.
Ryan, of course, was the author of budget manifestos marking out the right’s governing vision during the Obama age. Among other things, Ryan hoped to voucherize Medicare and send seniors into the private insurance market. He wanted to liquidate Medicaid and cut the poor a tax credit instead. He’d shower the wealthy with some $6 trillion in tax cuts over the next decade, paid for with deep cuts to programs for the poor like food stamps and Pell Grants. At one time, he intended to partially privatize Social Security—a conservative dream deferred for the time being.
The Sand Creek massacre (also known as the Chivington massacre, the Battle of Sand Creek or the massacre of Cheyenne Indians) was a massacre in the American Indian Wars that occurred on November 29, 1864, when a 675-man force of Colorado U.S. Volunteer Cavalry[3] attacked and destroyed a village of Cheyenne and Arapaho in southeastern Colorado Territory,[4] killing and mutilating an estimated 70–163 Native Americans, about two-thirds of whom were women and children. The location has been designated the Sand Creek Massacre National Historic Site and is administered by the National Park Service.

"[The goal of a cabal of global financiers linked to J.P. Morgan and Company was] nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent private meetings and conferences. Each central bank sought to dominate its government by its ability to control treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world."
Carroll Quigley in his book "Tragedy and Hope"
"During the past two centuries when the peoples of the world were gradually winning their political freedom from the dynastic monarchies, the major banking families of Europe and America were actually reversing the trend by setting up new dynasties of political control through the formation of international financial combines. These banking dynasties had learned that all governments must have sources of revenue from which to borrow in times of emergency. They had also learned that by providing such funds from their own private resources, they could make both kings and democratic leaders tremendously subservient to their will."
"The powers of financial capitalism had a far-reaching aim - nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent private meetings and conferences. The apex of the system was to be the Bank for International Settlements [BIS] in Basel, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world's central banks which were themselves private corporations ... Each central bank sought to dominate its government by its ability to control Treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world."

The day that an employee joined Facebook is called their ‘Faceversary’ and is marked by celebrations akin to Baptisms
The major takeaway from the three pages of Trump’s 1995 returns that the Times made public is that Trump is right when he says the system is rigged. What he doesn’t say is that it’s rigged in his favor and in the favor of people like him — and against regular people, those of us who earn money, pay income tax on it, and financially support the country in which we live.

when one is stopped and frisked in public in the public general mind one is guilty of something r is a suspect of a crime. it's degrading to the innocent as it flys off on social media and video. some cops go off page and become strong arm bullies or passive aggressives - forcing faces against glass, stone and sidwalks, bending arms, legs, sitting on chest, choking off air. asking any questions triggers some cops to arrest or to kill.

Universal literacy was supposed to educate the common man to control his environment. Once he could read and write he would have a mind fit to rule. So ran the democratic doctrine. But instead of a mind, universal literacy has given him rubber stamps, rubber stamps inked with advertising slogans, with editorials, with published scientific data, with the trivialities of the tabloids and the platitudes of history, but quite innocent of original thought. Each man's rubber stamps are the duplicates of millions of others, so that when those millions are exposed to the same stimuli, all receive identical imprints. It may seem an exaggeration to say that the American public gets most of its ideas in this wholesale fashion. The mechanism by which ideas are disseminated on a large scale is propaganda, in the broad sense of an organized effort to spread a particular belief or doctrine.”

“The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. ...We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society. ...In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons...who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind.”

“Physical objects are conceptually imported into the situation as convenient intermediaries not by definition in terms of experience, but simply as irreducible posits comparable, epistemologically, to the gods of Homer . . . For my part I do, qua lay physicist, believe in physical objects and not in Homer's gods; and I consider it a scientific error to believe otherwise. But in point of epistemological footing, the physical objects and the gods differ only in degree and not in kind. Both sorts of entities enter our conceptions only as cultural posits.”

Donald Trump opens his speech by declaring that Google’s search engine was suppressing critical information about Hillary Clinton during the presidential debate, apparently citing a Breitbart report that quoted a Russian state news agency in making the claim, which is easily debunked.
“Google search engine was suppressing the bad news about Hillary Clinton,” Trump said.
This adds the suppression of negative Google results to a litany of supposed conspiracies to keep Trump from being seen as the winner of Monday night’s debate, including a defective microphone, a hand-signaling system between Clinton and moderator Lester Holt, and crooked scientific polling that showed Clinton beating Trump by double digits when unscientific internet polls showed him crushing her.

The audience, composed largely of gay men, laughed.

Representation of Donald Trump[edit]
In 1971, businessman Donald Trump moved to Manhattan, where he became involved in large construction projects, and used tacky and ugly architectural design to win public recognition.[17] Trump came to public attention in 1973 when he was accused by the Justice Department of violations of the Fair Housing Act in the operation of 39 buildings.[18] The government alleged that Trump's corporation quoted different rental terms and conditions to blacks and made false "no vacancy" statements to blacks for apartments they managed in Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island.[19]
Representing Trump, Cohn filed a countersuit against the government for $100 million, asserting that the charges were irresponsible and baseless.[18][20] The countersuit was unsuccessful.[21] Trump settled the charges out of court in 1975 without admitting guilt, saying he was satisfied that the agreement did not "compel the Trump organization to accept persons on welfare as tenants unless as qualified as any other tenant."[22] The corporation was required to send a bi-weekly list of vacancies to the New York Urban League, a civil rights group, and give them priority for certain locations.[23] Several years later (in 1978) the Trump Organization was again in court for violating terms of the 1975 settlement; Cohn called the new charges "nothing more than a rehash of complaints by a couple of planted malcontents", Trump denied the charges, and there is no indication that he was found guilty.[18][21][24]
Donald Trump said he's "smart" by not paying income taxes — and argued that if he did, the money would be "squandered." He rants about unfair trade practices by USA and foreign companies, but sees no problem that he stiffs his workers and does not pay his contractors. Sure he wants more money for defense and police but he wants a tax cut down to 15%. He has not donated to his own founation since 2008, but has the gall to use it as his private piggy banks to pay legal fees, debts and art for his home. Trump raves about self control but he thinks of Iraq as a USA colony and it's oil as USA property and it's land as a USA fort.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police did not capture key video footage of last week’s fatal shooting of Keith Lamont Scott because a responding officer apparently didn’t turn on his body camera until after police had already shot the victim – a violation of department policy.
@WoodlandsStuCtr In the 1930s, the government of Nazi Germany began arresting thousands of Jehovah's Witnesses who refused to salute the Nazi flag, and sent them to concentration camps. In the United States, Jehovah's Witness national leaders advocated demonstrating solidarity with German Jehovah's Witnesses by refusing to participate in the daily flag salutes that had become compulsory in American schools. The Witnesses taught and still teach that the obligation imposed by the law of God is superior to that of laws enacted by temporal government. Their religious beliefs include a literal version of Exodus, Chapter 20, verses 4 and 5, which says: 'Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; thou shalt not bow down thyself to them nor serve them.' They consider that the flag is an 'image' within this command. For this reason they refused to salute the flag. Children of Jehovah's Witnesses had been expelled from school and were threatened with exclusion for no other cause. Officials threatened to send them to reformatories maintained for criminally inclined juveniles. Parents of such children had been prosecuted and were being threatened with prosecutions for causing delinquency. In 1935, 9 year-old Carlton Nichols was expelled from school and his father arrested in Lynn, Massachusetts for such a refusal. Additional refusals followed, one such leading to Minersville School District v. Gobitis Even after the Gobitis decision, Jehovah's Witnesses continued to refuse to say the pledge.
@WoodlandsStuCtr West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette, 319 U.S. 624 (1943), is a decision by the Supreme Court of the United States holding that the Free Speech Clause of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution protected students from being forced to salute the American flag and say the Pledge of Allegiance in school. The Court's 6–3 opinion, delivered by Justice Robert H. Jackson, is remembered for its forceful defense of free speech and constitutional rights generally as being placed "beyond the reach of majorities and officials."
It was a significant court victory won by Jehovah's Witnesses, whose religion forbade them from saluting or pledging to symbols, including symbols of political institutions. However, the Court did not address the effect the compelled salutation and recital ruling had upon their particular religious beliefs, but instead ruled that the state did not have the power to compel speech in that manner for anyone.
Barnette overruled a 1940 decision on the same issue, Minersville School District v. Gobitis (also involving the children of Jehovah's Witnesses), in which the Court stated that the proper recourse for dissent was to try to change the school policy democratically.
However, in overruling Gobitis the Court primarily relied on the Free Speech Clause of the First Amendment rather than the Free Exercise Clause.
Charlotte cops and big media like Fox News going to throw darts to impune Mr Scott. We've seen the tip of the spear of that with the pot joint, holster and the gun. They will dig and release any and all public records, domestic, civil and periods of unemployment. Only when the PR blows up and fails will they pay buckets of money at the family with out acknowledge of guilt. There will be no substantive change in the way their officers do business and the cops will keep their jobs. And this will go on until we have the next Keith Scott or Philando Castile or Sandra Bland. That’s why everybody is so frustrated and angry. Another cop lynching of a person of color is just around the corner

In September 2011, an analysis of over 43,000 transnational corporations (TNCs) has identified a relatively small group of companies, mainly banks, with disproportionate power over the global economy. Of those companies,
There was a core of 1318 companies with interlocking ownership
The 1318 companies represents around 60 per cent of global revenues by collectively owning through their shares the majority of the world’s large blue chip and manufacturing firms — the “real” economy
An even tighter 147 (about 1%) of these were described as “super entities” that controlled 40 per cent of the total wealth in the network. 60% of all wealth is held by Western 1st World Powers, Russia, China and Japan
tacurh It appears to me the police has with held, edited images of the Scott crime scene. We do not know if blood on the gun and or holster is from splatter or from wipe, if the gun was moved. We do know body was moved. We do know pants was moved. We see one cop wearing gloves?, but not why. The cop chief said CPR, but pants need not be moved 4 CPR. Did he use gloves to compromise the evidence of the gun and or holster. Despite all wearing boby cams we do not see Scott with a gun in hand inside the car or out. Oddly enough we see leg holster as Scott is free standing but no gun in hand
@1tacurh the cops did disturb the crime crime scene of the scott killing and that should raise red flags. victim pants down. body moved. objects appearing and vanishing. red flags worse than oj rap
Officer Brentley Vinson, killed Scott but it appears he tried to serve the wrong man because he did not know the physical ID of the right one, and for Vinson any Black male would do as Scott was in the parking lot. Why did he not try to serve at known physical address

Trump got money the old timey way. Get people to spend their money for things you want and you will spend less of your own money for your needs. You call the government an investor in your property venture via loans and grants. When smaller investors see your success they will come even workers will work at a pay cut or u simply do not pay them because after all they are alien or worse illegals and you know the law because you got a legal team and public relations operatives.
You set up your own foundation but it's your piggy bank and like your company keep it in the family. It's your private piggy bank, as you put less of your money in it as they put more of their own in it. When u spend you call it charity even if it's about you.
When things turn ugly you skip out. After all you are incorporated it's Trump Inc and YourFamily Inc. Trump Inc gets the poop but YourFamily Inc keeps their money.
Trumo Inc rides on an ocean of tax loop holes, fraud, debt and simply tax delay and avoidance because Trump Inc is cash poor but puts on a good show of image of money and for 80% of Americans image is everything when you got a jet and a building with your name on it

The latest terrorist is an American citizen, not a foreigner, a refugee or a recent immigrant.
That is overwhelmingly the profile of the approximately 360 jihadist terrorists who have been indicted or convicted in the States since 9/11 of crimes ranging in seriousness from sending small sums of money to an overseas terrorist organization to murder. According to research by New America, 80% of these militants are American citizens or legal permanent residents.
tulsa cop will not be indicted, but city of tulsa will make money pay out to the estate of mr crutcher but will deny all guilt and liability. the fbi via the dept of justice will not suggest indictment because the cop thought he was going for a gun after all he was a big black bad looking dude according to the cop reports and did not follow orders. so who will an all white jury, judge and da going to believe, a dead man or all white police.

Michael Burry: Background & bio
Michael Burry is the physician turned money manager and founder of Scion Capital LLC hedge fund and successfully ran it for eight years. Then, in 2008, Michael eliminated this fund so that he could concentrate on his private investments. He was one of the rare investors who took the daring step into the field of mortgages during the crisis period.
Michael Burry, born in 1971, is a medical doctor, having graduated from Vanderbilt University’s School of Medicine. He did his residency at Stanford Hospital. It was during his night shift at the hospital where he used to work on his hobby of financial investments, which later became his full-time profession.
As a novice investor, he created his own blog, posting stock-market trends and his opinion for making trades. Soon after, he started being noticed by other high-profile fund managers in the market and investment banks such as Morgan Stanley.
He quit his medical career in 2000 and started his investment company, Scion Capital. Although unaware of it initially, he was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome. During the time that Burry was managing investments for people, he was uncomfortable talking to them. He communicated with his investors through letters to inform them of their investment progress. Burry has said that whatever group he joins, he feels like a stranger, never comfortable and all the time busy analyzing that group. When he became an investor, he took it very seriously, as a full-time business.
Initially, Burry started his investment company by taking loans and by using his property. He derived the name of his company from the fantasy novel The Scions of Shannara, by Terry Brooks. In 2001, his company generated a large profit for the firm’s investors. Again, in 2002 and 2003 the company did very well. Due to his continuous success, Scion Capital had $600 million AUM at the end of 2004.
Burry is known for being the hedge fund manager who predicted the housing boom.
In 2005, Burry he started researching the real estate market, which led to him getting involved in the mortgage business (shorting credit instruments). He analyzed mortgage lending prices in 2003 and 2004 and accurately forecast that the bubble would burst by 2007. His study on residential real estate convinced him that subprime mortgages and the bonds based on these mortgages would start losing value when the original rates reset, which could happen within two years after commencement.
Based on this conclusion, he bought several hundred million dollars in credit default swaps against subprime deals that he thought were in danger. He believed that as the value of the bonds fell; the value of the credit default swaps would increase. No one thought these trades would work out in his favor, and he faced constant pressure from his investors over his decisions. Investors became concerned about the apparently money-losing trade and at one point even threatened to sue Burry for refusing to unwind his positions.
Burry also had to make a decision of selling corporate CDS because of the Wall Street issue made against him and his investors. He personally thought that the CDS market would collapse. The technical aspects of CDS were there, but synthetic CDOs caused the mortgage market to become... <<<<<< N.B from Jumbotweet: auto-truncated at 4K characters on index page - Click here or on the "view" link to see entire jumbotweet! http://www.jumbotweet.com/ltweets/view/148493

Txas v. Johnson, 491 U.S. 397 (1989), was a decision by the Supreme Court of the United States that invalidated prohibitions on desecrating the American flag enforced in 48 of the 50 states. Justice William Brennan wrote for a five-justice majority in holding that the defendant Gregory Lee Johnson's act of flag burning was protected speech under the First Amendment to the United States Constitution. Johnson was represented by attorneys David D. Cole and William Kunstler.

Trump knows that at heart the political campaign is about a marketing and sales product roll out no different than real estate, a car, shoes or smart phone. Supported by a sales force of experts, volunteers and professional associates it's something Trump has been doing 4 over 40 years.
A Native American high school student refused to stand and salute the USA flag. It triggered out rage in her teacher and a action of questions directed at her and another student who also stood their ground as the teacher ordered both to stand and salute.
"Stand up! Salute!, by crossing your heart. "
The two sat in silence.
The teacher eyed her question at the Native American girl with the long hair, " You know it's a sign of respect and honor for America...and the men and women who fought and died for you and all of us"
The child replied in puzzlement, " Not for me and and not for my people...the Indians. Americans, America killed most of us and took our land...the army was for America not for the Indians."

After the war of 1812 the U.S. and British signed a peace treaty to end the war, the American governement allegedly demanded the return of slave property about 6,000 blacks who were freed and fought for the Brits. The British reportedly refused and most of that population settled in Canada.
"You can decide for yourself whether there's some connection between what happened 200 years ago and what Colin Kaepernick is angry about today," Schwarz concluded. "Maybe it's all ancient, meaningless history. Or maybe it's not, and Kaepernick is right, and we really need a new national anthem." To most Whites that should be forgotten and forgiven because we are all equal Americans that love each other and the USA the same way
The collection of law enforcement use of force statistics has been mandated as a responsibility of the Attorney General since the passage of the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994. Title XXI: State and Local Law Enforcement, Subtitle D: Police Pattern or Practice, Section 210402, states the responsibility of the Attorney General to collect data on excessive force. Specifically—

Jackie Robinson: “I cannot stand and sing the anthem. I cannot salute the flag”
There I was, the black grandson of a slave, the son of a black sharecropper, part of a historic occasion, a symbolic hero to my people. The air was sparkling. The sunlight was warm. The band struck up the national anthem. The flag billowed in the wind. It should have been a glorious moment for me as the stirring words of the national anthem poured from the stands. Perhaps, it was, but then again, perhaps, the anthem could be called the theme song for a drama called The Noble Experiment. Today, as I look back on that opening game of my first world series, I must tell you that it was Mr. Rickey’s drama and that I was only a principal actor. As I write this twenty years later, I cannot stand and sing the anthem. I cannot salute the flag; I know that I am a black man in a white world. In 1972, in 1947, at my birth in 1919, I know that I never had it made. americans consider sports to be pure of politics so it gets endless play in bars other public places. It's a national cognitive dissonance of implicit denial by all except major investors, the 1% of the 1%. Sports is our intersection of entertainment, business, nationalism and politics.
the eu coffers are in the red of debt due to bail outs of it's zombie state members, junk bonds, lending/investment policies. it's fishing 4 money in usa companies that do their banking in europe and apple is suddendly shocked with he tax bill. the eu position is the central govt of the eu laws supercede the tax laws of it's member states.
should apple find a new banker with far friendlier tax laws, fight it out in hostile eu courts (yes, john boy the eu has never had much love for the usa {or it's corporations}) except as a body guard in times of hostile foreign action).
the eu has long known that some of it's current member states are better known for dirty money, tax avoidance practices for the have-mores, despots, and retired gangsters than for cars, beer and candy. eu welcomes them with a stay out of jail pass, free lunch and pass the tax bill to the dumb, stupid, blind and their distant Uncle Sam.
Francis Scott Key, bard 4 the American horror story
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave,
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
For most female Olympic medal winners there is no 2nd act after coming home. They will not get money, no job, no new career, sponsorships. Some might get a few trinkets, hand shakes, a parade and smiles. After a few decades their records will be better noted by family and friends than their community and the press, and then noted in obits or Olympic Game year. As they they might get a cup of java and a doughnut.
Unlike the Old World the USA has few artifacts that gives it's people a sense of unity and loyalty to the state, history, customs and culture. It turned patriotism into a public required displayed ritual such as singing a poorly written jingle that few know the lyrics, and that pledge that reads like a house wife will say never to use Brand X laundry soap. In the back ground of public ritual display of patriotism is our national insecurity. We are a people fragmented and not even on the same page as to class, race, custom and history and in fact do not share very much in common in practice so we need propaganda and commerce to to give us the illusion of being one people. We only become one people on tax day, on game day and it's we vs them or during a disaster.
Our national song and our pledge is our moment to go beyond our reality of these disunited states and people. That's what religion and the sacred does in music - it goes beyond the secular and mundane. But our song and pledge fails at all levels. It's more profane than sacred in light of their own history and it's words and the lives of the authors.
As the Republican-led Texas state legislature has slashed funding to reproductive health care clinics, the maternal mortality rate doubled over just a two-year period. Texas is in the top ten states in poverty and spends more on prisons than higher education. Given caps on personal injury compensation law that arise from court suits and work related injury it's a pro-business state beloved by both the GOP and Libertarians for industry and commerce. Weak environmental laws makes Texas a gem.

@WenonahHauter Thanks for the good works. I have lived in these worlds - worked in oil/gas technologies, gramps worked dairy, uncle slaughter house. My dad raised hogs, fowl, rabbits and we had 2 cows. My great uncle raised horses, hogs and fowl. Dad and granny were both professional cooks as was I. My son was a major salesman for big pharma for about 7 years. I dated a Kansas lady when I lived in Manhattan. Her dad is a big farmer, wheat, corn and other grasses. Big garden. He owned beef and dairy cattle. Lots of fowl. I never knew how real organic foods was like until I dated this lady. I learned about Nature and friend and enemy and how man can insult her. My wife and I do not take the hard work that those that work on the ground level of the farm do each day and how THE FACTORY is forcing them to make compromises, go broke or find a new line of work.

Carl Paladino, the co-chair for Donald Trump’s campaign in New York, defended the Republican nominee’s attacks on Khizr Khan, whose son died in Iraq in 2004, saying Khan doesn’t deserve the title of a Gold Star parent because he’s shown himself to be “anti-American” and may be a supporter of “the ISIS-type of attitude against America.”
“We’ve got an un-indicted felon as his opponent and you’re talking about Khan, about him making a remark about this man,” Paladino, a former New York gubernatorial candidate, told interviewer Connell McShane on Imus in the Morning. “All right, I don’t care if he’s a Gold Star parent. He certainly doesn’t deserve that title, OK, if he’s as anti-American as he’s illustrated in his speeches and in his discussion. I mean, if he’s a member of the Muslim Brotherhood or supporting, you know, the ISIS-type of attitude against America, there’s no reason for Donald Trump to have to honor this man.”
Khan, a lawyer and longtime critic of Trump, has said that “is the time for us American Muslims to rat out any traitor who walks amongst us. This is high time for Muslims to stand firm [against terrorists].” In his DNC speech, Khan praised American democracy and the “hard work and goodness of this country”; then criticized Trump on the grounds of his rhetoric toward religious and ethnic minorities, as well as women; he then asked Trump if he had read the U.S. Constitution, and then held up his pocket-sized copy. His son, an Army captain, was killed by a car bomb in Iraq.
Paladino also fueled conspiracy theories that Hillary Clinton is hiding health problems, calling her “devious” for doing so.
“If you sit there and just dissect Donald Trump, you may feel that way,” Paladino said of criticisms of Trump. “But if you’re really looking at what’s been exposed about Hillary and Hillary’s demeanor. I mean, just look at the deviousness, if it is true about her health problems. I mean, how devious can a woman possibly be? And not telling the American people that she’s got some sickness, she’s definitely impaired.”
In the interview, Paladino also reiterated his belief that President Obama is Muslim, a comment first noted by Mediaite.

Simone Manuel means well but we do not live in a non-race conscience world. What you did was pioneering. It's widely held in sports world that Blacks can not swim, ice skate, run the distance unless East African born, or race Formula 1 cars.
Most Americans young and old are not aware that were you born less than 40 years ago you would be banned from most swimming pools in the USA, and would be limited to only a few in most major cities. Any Black that had golden dreams of being an Olympic champion from Dallas, Texas in 1970 did not get much support no matter the the talent or hope.

Just over two years ago, in April 2014, Thomas Piketty’s Capital in the Twenty-First Century was published in English and took the top spot on the New York Times bestseller list. Piketty’s book struck a nerve, helping to disseminate several ideas—among them that capitalism doesn’t automatically generate a reasonable or equitable distribution of income and that paying attention to the wealthiest 1% is necessary to understanding politics. Piketty focused on the concentration of wealth in 19th and 20th century France, the U.K., and the United States, places where the most data was available for those periods. But if Piketty had been—instead of an economist—a reporter working to understand the world that extremes of inequality have made today, he wouldn’t have looked at those rich countries. He might well have chosen to focus on Brazil, as Alex Cuadros has done in his new book Brazillionaires. -- THE REPUBLIC.COM 08/01/2016

Yes, the Chicago cops did not follow procedure but I doubt any will be indicted and convicted for murder. The dead suspect did get behind a car that he did not own and did try to escape and evade capture. Did use the car to ram a police vehicle. Suspect did try to evade capture on foot. The cops thought they saw a gun as he ran with his back turned. They fired or some one fired.

“By a continuous process of inflation, governments can confiscate, secretly and unobserved, an important part of the wealth of their citizens. By this method, they not only confiscate, but they confiscate arbitrarily; and while the process impoverishes many, it actually enriches some....There is no subtler, no surer means of overturning the existing basis of society than to debauch the currency. The process engages all the hidden forces of economic law on the side of destruction, and does it in a manner which not one man in a million is able to diagnose.” (John Maynard Keynes, The Economic Consequences of the Peace, 1919.)

No longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men.” (President Woodrow Wilson, a few years before his death in reference to the Federal Reserve act of 1913, which he signed into law. I know of the operations of this network because I have studied it for twenty years and was permitted for two years, in the early 1960's, to examine its papers and secret records. I have no aversion to it or to most of its instruments. I have objected, both in the past and recently, to a few of its policies…but in general my chief difference of opinion is that it wishes to remain unknown, and I believe its role in history is significant enough to be known.” (Georgetown University Professor Carroll Quigley, Tragedy & Hope: A History of the World in Our Time, p. 950. 1964.)

Dual Process: The Only Game in Town
Waferinos-
Below, the lecture I gave at the University of Waterloo, Ontario, On May 13.
Dual Process: The Only Game in Town
The realization that we are in a dead-end situation, and that some very basic things are going to have to change if we are going to survive, will not come as a revelation to anyone attending this conference. Most of us have been thinking about this for the last 30 or 40 years, I’m guessing, and in general, this is a perception that millions of people in Europe and North America have as well, if only on an unconscious level. Literature on the subject has been with us since the 1960s. I’m thinking of texts that were very influential or even famous, perhaps starting with Paul Goodman’s classic work, Growing Up Absurd, which appeared in 1960, followed by Herbert Marcuse’s One-Dimensional Man in 1964. Ted Roszak’s Making of a Counter Culture came out in 1969, Andrew Hacker’s End of the American Empire in 1970, and the famous Limits to Growth study in 1972. Hovering over all of these, of course, were the works of Mashall McLuhan, beginning with The Gutenberg Galaxy in 1962, which drove home the point that technology was not neutral, was not value-free—a crucial argument in making the West transparent to itself. Basically, a whole way of life came under attack, largely associated with the American Dream, but also with the dominating presence of science and technology in our lives, which is inevitably part of that dream . But exactly what it is that has to change, and how that change might be accomplished, never really got clarified in terms of any large consensus.
How social change occurs, of course, has been the subject of debate among sociologists for at least 150 years now. A lot of the answer depends on the scale of the change we are talking about. In terms of what I want to address in this lecture, my focus is on massive social change, the kind that occurred with the collapse of the Roman Empire, or with the rise of feudal Europe, or with the replacement of feudalism by capitalism. For events of this magnitude, the usual bromides about change—a better educational system, for example, or electoral politics, or even armed revolution—really won’t do. The changes I’m talking about are practically geological; they require centuries to play themselves out. They are about what the great French historian, Fernand Braudel, referred to as la longue durée, the long run.
Braudel was the leader of a group of scholars known as the Annales School, and the basic argument of this school was that the proper concern of historians should be the analysis of structures that lie at the base of contemporary events. Underneath short-term events such as individual cycles of economic boom and bust, said Braudel, we can discern the persistence of “old attitudes of thought and action, resistant frameworks dying hard, at times against all logic.” (Does this sound familiar?) An important derivative of the Annales research is the work of the World Systems Analysis school, including Immanuel Wallerstein and Christopher Chase-Dunn, which similarly focuses on long-term structures: capitalism, in particular.
The “arc” of capitalism, according to this school, is about 600 years long, from 1500 to 2100. It is our particular fortune or misfortune to be living through the beginning of the end, the disintegration of capitalism as a world system. It was mostly commercial capital in the sixteenth century, evolving into industrial capital in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, and then moving on to financial capital—money created by money itself, and by speculation in currency—in the twentieth and twenty-first. In dialectical fashion, it will be the very success of the system that eventually... <<<<<< N.B from Jumbotweet: auto-truncated at 4K characters on index page - Click here or on the "view" link to see entire jumbotweet! http://www.jumbotweet.com/ltweets/view/145507
I thought of "Morons Out of Control" or "Douche Bags Unleashed" as a possible title for this post, but then just settled for a bland 275. I remain excited about Trump's poll numbers, and hope we can get rid of Botox Face once and for all. He could really put the icing on the cake of our accelerating disintegration, but then it's possible that his hands will be tied and he won't be able to do as much damage as he'd like. But as in the case of late-empire emperors in Rome, he really is a perfect symbol of the end of days. His "presidency" will have about as much validity as Kissinger's Nobel Peace Prize (or Obama's). It's like America will finally, publicly, declare itself to be a joke.
What percentage of persons in a motor vehicle or public place were stopped by police and searched or frisked?
In 2011, about three percent of drivers in traffic stops and 19 percent of persons involved in street stops were searched or frisked by police. White drivers involved in traffic stops were searched at lower rates than black and Hispanic drivers. During both traffic and street stops, the majority of persons who were searched or frisked did not believe the police had a legitimate reason for the search
What are the characteristics of persons who come into contact with the police for different reasons?
An estimated 31.4 million persons age 16 or older, or 13% of the population, requested assistance from police at least once in 2011, most commonly to report a crime or neighborhood disturbance. A similar percentage of females (13%) and males (13%) requested assistance from the police that year. A greater percentage of non-Hispanic white persons (14%) than Hispanic persons (10%) contacted the police for assistance. A slightly larger percentage of white persons (14%) than black persons (12%) requested police assistance. Persons ages 25 to 44 contacted the police to request assistance at higher rates than younger persons (ages 16 to 24) and older persons (age 65 or older).
About 10% of the 212.3 million U.S. drivers age 16 or older were stopped while operating a motor vehicle during their most recent contact with police. A greater percentage of male drivers (12%) than female drivers (8%) were pulled over in traffic stops. Across age groups, the highest percentage of stopped drivers was among drivers ages 18 to 24 (18%). A higher percentage of black drivers (13%) than white (10%) and Hispanic (10%) drivers age 16 or older were pulled over in a traffic stop during their most recent contact with police.
Less than 1% of the 241.4 million U.S. residents age 16 or older were involved in a street stop during their most recent contact with police. A greater percentage of males (1%) than females (less than 1%) were involved in street stops during 2011. Persons ages 16 to 24 were more likely than persons age 35 or older to be involved in street stops. While no differences were observed in the percentage of non-Hispanic white, non-Hispanic black, and Hispanic populations age 16 or older involved in a street stop, among those who were stopped, a smaller percentage of blacks (38%) than Hispanics (63%) or whites (78%) felt the police behaved properly during the stop.
FBI TRAFFIC STOP REPORT: WHO IS STOPPED
The most common reason for contact with the police is being a driver in a traffic stop. In 2011, an estimated 42% of face-to-face contacts that U.S. residents had with police occurred for this reason. About half of all traffic stops that year resulted in a traffic ticket. Approximately 3% of all stopped drivers were searched by police during a traffic stop.
These findings are based on the Police-Public Contact Survey (PPCS), a BJS survey that interviews U.S. residents about their contacts with police during the previous 12 months. Persons who reported more than one instance of face-to-face contact during the year are asked to describe the most recent occurrence. The PPCS has been conducted about every three years since 1996.
Summary findings
An estimated 26.4 million persons age 16 or older indicated that their most recent contact with the police in 2011 was as a driver pulled over in a traffic stop. These drivers represented 12% of the nation's 212 million drivers.
A greater percentage of male drivers (12%) than female drivers (8%) were stopped by police during 2011. A higher percentage of black drivers (13%) than white (10%) and Hispanic (10%) drivers were stopped by police during 2011.
Stopped drivers reported speeding as the most common reason for being pulled over in 2011.
Approximately 80% of drivers pulled over by police in 2011 felt they had been stopped for a legitimate reason. In 2011, about 68% of black drivers believed police had a legitimate reason for stopping them compared to 84% of white and 74% of Hispanic drivers.
In 2011, about 3% of traffic stops led to a search of the driver, the vehicle, or both. Police were more likely to search male drivers (4%) than female drivers (2%).
A lower percentage of white drivers stopped by police in 2011 were searched (2%) than black (6%) or Hispanic (7%) drivers.
Since the USA gives police, DA, juries, judges the greater benefit of doubt, less than 1% of police are convicted of killing civilians White are non-White. While more Whites are killed proportionally to the general population Black body counts are the highest for unarmed victims.

Since 1989, there have been tens of thousands of cases where prime suspects were identified and pursued—until DNA testing (prior to conviction) proved that they were wrongly accused.
In more than 25% of cases in a National Institute of Justice study, suspects were excluded once DNA testing was conducted during the criminal investigation (the study, conducted in 1995, included 10,060 cases where testing was performed by FBI labs).
An Innocence Project review of our closed cases from 2004 – June 2015 revealed that 29% of cases were closed because of lost or destroyed evidence.
"I don't recall Republicans getting upset when Justice Alito went to a Republican fundraiser before the re-election of Biden and Obama and attacked Joe Biden there," he added. "Maybe they have different standards. I don't know. - Sen. Patrick Leahy of Vermont
@FRANKBISHOP2 Black Americans have pushed for the right to bear arms since the end of the Civil War, and white Americans, mostly in the South, tried to stop them for decades. If you Google "New Black Panthers" and "Fox News," you'll get the sense that many white conservatives are still uncomfortable with black people peacefully displaying firearms in public.
But that's no reason to believe that white open-carry activists — who care enough about their right to haul around loaded AR-15s and handguns in public that they'll scare the bejeezus out of people trying to buy diapers at Target — don't also want black people to have that same right. We shouldn't assume that hard-core support for the 2nd amendment is automatically paired with opposition to the 14th amendment, which conferred many of the equal rights and equal protections of citizenship on all Americans, black and white.

Despite its fierce criticism of government overreach and the killing of aarmed Black men, the NRA is largely a pro-police organization: many of its more than five million members, who are predominantly white and conservative, are current or former law enforcement officials, the group’s CEO, Wayne LaPierre, noted Friday. The group also hosts an annual “police shooting championship” and it has an entire law enforcement firearms division, which specializes in training police instructors. If any one expecting the NRA to support two Black men killed by the police I got the Golden Gate Bridge up for auction.
@ethiopienne the falcon heights policeman stance was that of one prepared to kill the young lady as he bf was dying, & the arriving cops refused her and her child aid and comfort. They denied or delayed medical care to the Mr Castile as he laid motionless in his seat.
This is the USA emotional of lack of it to Black pain because when we have walls of dissonance we get a culture that is shallow as to empathy, shallow range of emotions. A sociopathic personality. Blacks become a thing with out soul or sense of pain.
After beating her son like a slave master his mama put down the electric cord and said:
Son, I did this for your own good. Gawd knows I rather beat you to an inch of life than see a White man shoot you like a dog.
This is how some young boys are first broken. They are emasculated by mom and must seek out peaceful means to get back their man hood. The role of Warrior/Protector, Provider, and Shaman is taken away by the person they first love, MOM. Black male is self repressed or projected into the playing field of sports or the military where it's are the few places where it's rewarded. The Coach become father figure, shaman, provider and teacher on the ways of manliness.
Being shut out of employment as to mobility (few Black males enjoy hiring/budget authority) many finds the path of Shaman a true path in the Black Church one of the few places where Black men can enjoy high rank, respect and the fruits of manliness.
Black males are mostly supporters, followers, rank and file in corporate business, not leaders. If not they are small to medium size business owners. Few are of the multi-billion dollar class.
The other options are dismal because it's the life of either the gray/underground economy or crime.
in the rush 2 be first sometimes they do not fact check r ask questions the news goes with hear say, gossip, rumor and damn lies.
on cnn a caller chimes in about a black man he saw in the dallas march, and now news flash he is a cop suspect on the run. our dear news reporter nor the dallas cops did not speak of the open carry laws and it also applied to blacks or that they were often challenged 4 having a legal gun under permit.
did the reporters talk about the high number of blacks wrongly convicted and later found innocent after years in prison. ooo and those that were wrongly executed by the good people of texas.
thanks to the news and cops their suspect turned himself in. held for 30 minutes the cops did their best. in usa it'snot lying if a cop lies to you to get a guilty plea. they said they had a witness that can say he saw him fire his weapon. his gun was not loaded nor fired the night in question, they said he is shown in video firing, but he is shown in video marching.
the chief of police said the real suspect wanted to kill whites and cops and like a virus that's the news story that he wants the masses to hear. the only news source is from the police and there is no record from suspect. no evidence means you better believe what a cop says it is
Bill Johnson, executive director of the National Association of Police Organizations, is a man with out shame. He has no honor for the living. I am sure he is a loving husband and father, but does not the man who lies cold and still was loved less. He has the right to defend the police, but who will defend those that lie dead and we the living who are defenseless. Bill is an honorable man. He honors a policeman who with a gun shot not one time but several after ordering a suspect to produce papers even as suspect was told he had a gun and the permit to carry and own a gun. For Bill is a smart man. He is an intelligent and highly paid man that serves at the pleasure of the police, not the city and not the suspect that was killed.
@ATPJudge By the State Department’s own admission, American companies face an overtly hostile and discriminatory environment in China. Investors need government approval for projects, foreigners are barred from staffing key managerial positions, and many sectors are prohibited by Beijing from benefitting from foreign investment. At the same time, the Central Committee effectively distorts competition by doling out “better tax incentives and financing opportunities” to Chinese companies.
Succeeding on the Chinese market is therefore tremendously difficult for U.S. companies. On the flipside, Chinese investors face almost no barriers on doing business on American soil, a fact that is currently helping Beijing prop up its ailing economy and advance its global influence. What should be obvious, even to the Obama administration and certainly to its successor, is that these plays are just another expression of China’s unquenchable thirst for expansion. These strategies may seem new to targets in the West, but not to a Chinese government accustomed to deploying the same trade and financial weapons across the African continent and Asia.
Western analysts recognize China’s compelling need for agricultural resources to feed its ever-growing population and natural resources to supply its voracious industries. What they miss, with a naïveté that leads to peril, is that China’s longstanding commitment to expansion through trade, as the true endgame of a foreign policy that pays lip service to its “peaceful rise,” really means Chinese hegemony – and that’s a threat the U.S. must put to rest.
While the United States continues its mild-mannered overtures directed at appeasing conflicts in the South China Sea, or its iffy prospects for containing China’s economic power through the Trans-Pacific Partnership and its ASEAN alignments, China doesn’t pull any punches. American leaders operate within a diplomatic framework anchored in the polite fiction of a peaceful China moving toward responsible leadership in the global community. That’s precisely the message the Chinese spent years creating, and a pretense they no longer bother to make themselves.
Meanwhile, America keeps building China’s world-class future at its own expense. The pleas to put an end to unchallenged Chinese economic practices that disadvantage Americans – the outright theft of American innovation, the unfair currency manipulation, the alignment with unsavory world leaders abroad and the indifference to the daily $1 billion trade deficit at home – need to be acted on, and fast.
These stats should be shocking: In 1965, a typical CEO took in about 20 times what an average employee earned, while the latest figures from the AFL-CIO put current CEO pay at 373 times what the average worker makes. Both GOP/DNC wonder why more Americans are bitter, angry and disapointed despite glowing employment numbers, and stock returns with low interest loans.
Trump and Sanders have tapped into the sore spot of stagnant wages and increasing mental, economic and physical insecurity that is ignored, under reported both by media and governing elites. They see the welcome red carpet of the Haves and how the rug is pulled from under the feet of them and their kids despite their education.
The girlfriend and daughter were detained and held by police until the early morning hours the next day with no food or water, the mother posted on Facebook after she was released after her boy friend was killed by a police man as she sat next to him in his car.
Second Video of Alton Sterling's Shooting Death Seems to Contradict Police Claim That He Was Holding a Gun, but jury, judge and most Americans believe he should not had no right to speak, think it or own a gun to avoid getting arrested or killed
it's open season to get killed by a cop if subject has a legal fire arm even if it's in his pocket and not seen by a cop or and if you have an arrest record but cop is not aware of it when he kills subject, and if subject is Black the cop has a reasonable belief the subject presents a clear and present danger to life and lethal use of force is necessary to negate the danger. Paul Ryan: Anti-Semitic Images Have No Place In A Presidential Campaign, but you see Trump is not a White man, he's Orange so he can talk about the Jews, them Blacks, Muslims and do not forget the Mexicans, women bleeding from their lady parts and Mexicans coming over here to dishonor our women and way of life. I'm all in for the Big Orange man as the Great Leader of lizards and you have to have a forked tongue to say that
Paul Ryan says from Satans's ass and the dark bowels of hell: My candidate Donald Trump is the only one who posts anti-Semitic images on the internet. My candidate Donald Trump is the only one who praises Saddam Hussein's use of nerve gas and summary executions of those accused of terrorism. But I endorse Donald Trump. And Donald Trump is my candidate nonetheless!
SCOTUS gave a sharp rebuke to the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which, ruling on the same law, declared, "In our circuit, we do not balance the wisdom or effectiveness of a law against the burdens the law imposes." Another 5th Circuit ruling on the law quoted an unrelated case to assert that "a legislative choice is not subject to courtroom fact finding and may be based on rational speculation unsupported by evidence or empirical data." - NBC News
In GOP, Texas, and Far Right Jesus world science, facts does not matter. Lets go with our guts when in doubt lets poop
I honestly don’t think this ‘fact-checking’ business ... is anything more than one more out of touch, elitist media-type thing. (Go with your gut not facts because facts make reasonable doubt for Trump, facts are people that read, think and research)

@switterist the management and admin of our water, inland rivers, lakes, streams, creeks, ponds and subsurface waters is a fragmented system of local, state and federal powers. some water authority utility boards are private. some water resources are owed by public and non-public hands. non-bottle drinking water is more regulated than bottle, water 4 science/medical applications regulated the most.
federal and state authorities have been lax in protecting the public from certain chemicals, compounds, drugs, solvents etc that endanger the public, plants and animals such as those used in fracking.
ISIL has banned all media reporting outside its own lands and it sends killers across border to kill writers, and and kidnapped and killed journalists in Turkey. However, a group calling itself Raqqa Is Being Slaughtered. Writers silently operates within it's capital and elsewhere at great risk because spies and those that will betray for money, love 4 ISIL and things of value. In response, ISIL has killed members of the group, family and friends.
In January 2016, a pseudonymous French author named Sophie Kasiki published a book about her move from Paris to the besieged city in 2015, where she was lured to perform hospital work, and her subsequent escape from ISIL.

To compound the problem of the EU, this is not a “Europe of peoples” nor of equals. Germany and UK were top dogs, and now Germany is the only big dog as to money, authority and power. The Romantic states and Greece are in crisis and have been for decades. Brussels absolutely detests European public opinion, and the system exhibits an iron resistance to reform. This current EU project that ultimately aims at a federation, modeled on the pre US republic, does not cut it in most of Britain. Arguably this is one of the key reasons behind Brexit – which for its part has already disunited the kingdom and may eventually downgrade it into a tiny trading post on the edge of Europe. Matters such as border security, jobs, and local issues such as health care are concerns of the common people.
spend 5 minutes with 5 voters in a democratic republic in conversation on the purpose and function of government & U will conclude why despots have an easy job.
There are reasons many people have stuck around as long as they have is because the weather in much of California is fantastic and because one can drive from orchard groves to skiing in a few hours, or be in a forest, wine vineyards, desert or biggest sea on earth. One can put up with a lot when it’s 75 degrees, sunny, with low humidity. I know many complain about cost of living, quakes, fires, drought or too much rain. True you can not buy much of a home for $1 million. Some employers find nose rings and purple hair good for the business. When the CEO wears a hoodie, black t-shirt or a turtle neck shirt it's a fashion statement. Still when things get tough they move to where the weather is not temperate and the quality of life if you peek out side the bubble is brass ass brutal - you break a leg and you might get a cane with a collection notice 4 medical bills.
Sometimes people hold a core belief that is very strong. When they are presented with evidence that works against that belief, the new evidence cannot be accepted. It would create a feeling that is extremely uncomfortable, called cognitive dissonance. And because it is so important to protect the core belief, they will rationalize, ignore and even deny anything that doesn't fit in with the core belief.
Frantz Fanon
“The American Negro has the great advantage of having never believed the collection of myths to which white Americans cling: that their ancestors were all freedom-loving heroes, that they were born in the greatest country the world has ever seen, or that Americans are invincible in battle and wise in peace, that Americans have always dealt honorably with Mexicans and Indians and all other neighbors or inferiors, that American men are the world's most direct and virile, that American women are pure. Negroes know far more about white Americans than that; it can almost be said, in fact, that they know about white Americans what parents—or, anyway, mothers—know about their children, and that they very often regard white Americans that way. And perhaps this attitude, held in spite of what they know and have endured, helps to explain why Negroes, on the whole, and until lately, have allowed themselves to feel so little hatred. The tendency has really been, insofar as this was possible, to dismiss white people as the slightly mad victims of their own brainwashing.”

@yourltldogtoo usa likes to re-visit oj simpson because it's one place where we can talk race, sex, money, class, gender, justice with out saying the hot button words with out coming off offensive or defensive.
Those of the Muhammad Ali Era, never were on the front lines of career risk for any cause beyond writing a pay check or selling shoes. They like OJ are no different than White celebs and ball players - they sell tickets. OJ found it useful to exploit his race when he was in a jam for murder #1. It was not hard because he had on his side among the best legal teams and experts in the USA against a team with bigger pockets but weak legal minds.
We recall OJ but forget all of the White men that walk away from rape, murder and wrongful death with 3 months probation or a simple hand shake
It's very difficult for the family members of ICE agents, and it's very difficult for ICE agents to know what's right and what's wrong and why should I get engaged and go out there and enforce the law when I don't know what it means any more to have consequences. James Lankford

We've overmedicated kids. Quite frankly, some of the overmedication of kids are because welfare moms want to get additional benefits, and if they can put them on SSI through maintenance drugs, they can also put them on Social Security disability and get a separate check. That is wrong on every single level. James Lankford
@kemet2000 the state upped the ante of power/authority with physical force, fear with the tools of the courts, new laws, reeducation via propaganda and police 2 neutralize any possible rise of a new black messiah or union of rebellion with other diverse power blocks (see hoover's quote, powell memo, citibank memo, nixon southern strategy). after the death of mlk, the gop right wing used the same tactics that king used to radicalize white conservative chirstians ( mostly lower middle to working class) who are diverse but share major common interest as well as fears. the gop pushed the democratic party into neoliberalism or the moderate right which is the party ruled by the 1% but governed by the upperclass (see clintons and obama).
When Jane Doe (rape victim) makes the case that she does not want the court to be harsh on her rapist as to punishment & goes silent when court goes soft with 6 months in jail 4 him, she got her justice
#JudgePersky. Victim did write & ask 4 mercy for Tucker. Victim did write angry letter 2 Tucker/Persky. Persky is n no win situation. Victim wants justice both ways. So what was she expecting from the court when she tells the court to go soft on Tucker and then vents about about her feelings. Sorry, but as a Stanford grad she should have known better and ran both of those letters by a mature adult, namely her parents and legal. She knew that if he were any man of color the court would have thrown the book at him, but given that Tucker is not only White, Upper Class and a Stanford student with clean life the court followed suggestion of the probation office, his mom and the VICTIM and gave MERCY.
Justice is not only a roll of the dice it's loaded.
"A prison sentence would have a severe impact on him. I think he will not be a danger to others," judge Persky said of a rapist,"I think 6 months in jail is a time out,OK. I hope 20 seconds of raw sex was enough". Satire
POLITICO: Trump security removes POLITICO reporter from rally — “A Donald Trump campaign staffer and a private security guard removed a POLITICO reporter from a campaign rally here on Thursday evening for reporting at the event without the campaign’s permission.”
National Review: Donald Trump Represents Republicans’ Baser Feelings — “Even Donald Trump’s defenders on the Right are hard-pressed to argue that he is conservative. He is, nonetheless, a kind of conservative dream candidate. Few politicians in memory have so powerfully tapped into and expressed the conservative id, which has long yearned for a Republican politician willing to heap the verbal abuse on the Clintons and, especially, on the media that they so manifestly deserve.”
The Atlantic: The Seven Broken Guardrails of Democracy — “Here’s the part of the 2016 story that will be hardest to explain after it’s all over: Trump did not deceive anyone. Unlike, say, Sarah Palin in 2008, Trump appeared before the electorate in his own clothes, speaking his own words. When he issued a promise, he instantly contradicted it. If you chose to accept the promise anyway, you did so with abundant notice of its worthlessness.”

But the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. "The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) took control of the ideological foundations of the American empire, encompassing the corporate, banking, political, foreign policy, military, media, and academic elite of the nation into a generally cohesive overall world view. By altering one's ideology to that of promoting such an internationalist agenda, the big money that was behind it would ensure one's rise through government, industry, academia and media. There are divisions within the elite, predicated on the basis of how to use American imperial power, where to use it, on what basis to justify it, and other various methodological differences. The divide amongst elites was never on the questions of: should we use American imperial power, why has America become an Empire, or should there even be an empire? If one takes such considerations to heart and questions these concepts, be it within the foreign policy establishment, intelligence, military, academia, finance, corporate world, or media; chances are, such a person is not a member of the CFR."

"American government is corrupt. Those who have enough money can almost get anything they want from our government, whether it is tax breaks, or subsidies, or policies and laws changed, removed, or added.
... Today CEOs and wealthy businessmen are the ruling elite in the Western world, especially the United States. Their donations finance elections and even education, which they are constantly saying has to adapt itself to the needs of the market (that is, be molded to inculcate their views). It should come as no surprise therefore that the theories offered by economists rationalize the self-interest of big business and the wealthy. Overtly, of course, such theories claim to benefit society and the public's well-being. But covertly, they do just the opposite: they make the great mass of people poorer while making the rich fabulously richer."
"The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake, We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power. Not wealth or luxury or long life or happiness: only power, pure power... We are different from all the oligarchies of the past, in that we know what we are doing. All the others, even those who resembled ourselves, were cowards and hypocrites. The German Nazis and the Russian Communists came very close to us in their methods, but they never had the courage to recognize their own motives. They pretended, perhaps they even believed, that they had seized power unwillingly and for a limited time, and that just round the corner there lay a paradise where human beings would be free and equal. We are not like that. We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power."
"The corporate grip on opinion in the United States is one of the wonders of the Western world. No First World country has ever managed to eliminate so entirely from its media all objectivity - much less dissent."
"Money laundering is simply everywhere. On the grand scale, it's endemic to banking... Money laundering is not some distant fantasy. It's actually how you handle the profits of extortion, tax evasion, criminal conspiracy and huge quantities of drug money, how you get that into the white sector... We pay vast sums of money to agencies that are supposed to stop money laundering. It doesn't happen."
"Money laundering, according to IMF estimates for the 1990s, was between 590 billion and 1.5 trillion dollars a year. The proceeds of the drug trade are deposited in the banking system. Drug money is laundered in the numerous offshore banking havens in Switzerland, Luxembourg, the British Channel Islands, the Cayman Islands and some 50 other locations around the globe. It is here that criminal syndicates involved in the drug trade and the representatives of the world's largest commercial banks interact. Dirty money is deposited in these offshore havens, which are controlled by major Western banks and financial institutions which have a vested interest in maintaining and sustaining the drug trade."
Michel Chossudovsky in his book "America's War on Terrorism"
Drug profits are secured through the ability of the drug cartels to launder and transfer billions of dollars through the US banking system. The scale and scope of the US banking-drug cartel alliance surpasses any other economic activity of the US private banking system."
"Americans are wonderfully courteous to strangers, yet indiscriminately shoot kids in schools. They believe they are masters of the world, yet know nothing about what goes on outside their shores. They are people who believe the world stretches from California to Boston and everything outside is the bit they have to bomb to keep the price of oil down. Only one in five Americans hold a passport and the only foreign stories that make their news are floods, famine, and wars, because it makes them feel good to be an American. Feeling good to be American is what they live for. "

"Americans are too broadly underinformed to digest nuggets of information that seem to contradict what they know of the world. Instead, news channels prefer to feed Americans a constant stream of simplified information, all of which fits what they already know. That way they don't have to devote more air time or newsprint space to explanations or further investigations... Politicians and the media have conspired to infantilize, to dumb down, the American public. At heart, politicians don't believe that Americans can handle complex truths, and the news media, especially television news, basically agrees."
"The general public are viewed as no more than ignorant and meddlesome outsiders, a bewildered herd. And it's the responsible men who have to make decisions and to protect society from the trampling and rage of the bewildered herd. Now since it's a democracy they - the herd, that is - are permitted occasionally to lend their weight to one or another member of the responsible class. That's called an election."
"The corporate-dominated economy and the transnational corporate state had consolidated its power over almost every aspect of public and private life, and under a formal globalization movement the transnational corporations were extending their tentacles all over the planet.
Footsoldiers like Margaret Thatcher, Ronald Reagan, the ever-dutiful Bush family, Helmut Kohl, and a list of Japanese leaders had diligently kept the faith. Working with the timeworn International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank and ultimately with the new engine of globalization, the World Trade Organization, they ensured that the interests of capital were nowhere endangered by the needs of the world's three billion poor to eat, have shelter, clothing, sanitation, medical care, and education."
William F. Pepper in his book "An Act of State: the Execution of Martin Luther King"
"Some believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as "internationalists" and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure - one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it."
"Ever since the days of Henry Ford, the Economic Elite have needed a thriving US middle class to increase growth and profits, but now, in the global economy, they view the US middle class as obsolete. They increasingly look globally for profits and they would rather pay cheap labor in countries like China and India."
"Today Americans would be outraged if UN troops entered Los Angeles to restore order; tomorrow they will be grateful. This is especially true if they were told there was an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead with world leaders to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well being granted to them by their world government."
Henry Kissinger speaking at the annual Bilderberger meeting, May 21, 1992
"There is a transnational ruling class, a "Superclass", that agrees on establishing a world government. The middle class is targeted for elimination, because most of the world has no middle class, and to fully integrate and internationalize a middle class, would require industrialization and development in Africa, and certain places in Asia and Latin America. The goal of the Superclass is not to lose their wealth and power to a transnational middle class, but rather to extinguish the notion of a middle class, and transnationalize a lower, uneducated, labor oriented class, through which they will secure ultimate wealth and power.
The global economic crisis serves these ends, as whatever remaining wealth the middle class holds is in the process of being eliminated, and as the crisis progresses, the middle classes of the world will suffer, while a great percentage of lower classes of the world, poverty-stricken even prior to the crisis, will suffer the greatest, most probably leading to a massive reduction in population levels, particularly in the "underdeveloped" or "Third World" states."
"The master planners devised the strategy of a merger - a Great Merger - among nations.
But before such a merger can be consummated, and the United States becomes just another province in a New World Order, there must at least be the semblance of parity among the senior partners in the deal. How does one make the nations of the world more nearly equal? The Insiders determined that a two-prong approach was needed; use American money and know-how to build up your competitors, while at the same time use every devious strategy you can devise to weaken and impoverish this country. The goal is not to bankrupt the United States. Rather, it is to reduce our productive might, and therefore our standard of living, to the meager subsistence level of the socialized nations of the world.
The plan is not to bring the standard of living in less developed countries up to our level, but to bring ours down to meet theirs coming up... It is your standard of living which must be sacrificed on the altar of the New World Order."
"The men the American people admire most extravagantly are the most daring liars; the men they detest most violently are those who try to tell them the truth."

Afghanistan: Opium, the CIA and the Karzai Administration
by Peter Dale Scott
According to Peter Dale Scott, there is no point in deploring the expansion of drug production in Afghanistan and the heroin epidemic gripping great parts of the world. Conclusions must be drawn from the established facts: the Taliban eradicated poppy cultivation; NATO promoted it; drug money corrupted the Karzai government but it is especially inside U.S. institutions that drug corruption is rife. Therefore, the solution does not lie with Kabul but with Washington.

But the only thing I object to, is that we've kept it a secret." Larry Mcdonald

Europe, beware. The leaked TTIP text confirms that the United States is trying to export its failed regulatory model. If the United States succeeds in its project, Big Business will gain enormous power to block, slow, undermine and repeal European regulations.
“The public is not cognizant of the real value of education, and does not realize that education as a social force is not receiving the kind of attention it has the right to expect in a democracy.
“Universal literacy was supposed to educate the common man to control his environment.
But being dependent, every day of the year and for year after year, upon certain politicians for news, the newspaper reporters are obliged to work in harmony with their news sources.”

Propaganda Quotes (showing 1-30 of 32)
“The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society.
The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to doctrinaire and academic thinkers. Carroll Quigley
Instead, there were a variety of controls of which some could be influenced by bankers, some could be influenced by the government, and some could hardly be influenced by either. Carroll Quigley
The history of the last century shows, as we shall see later, that the advice given to governments by bankers, like the advice they gave to industrialists, was consistently good for bankers, but was often disastrous for governments, businessmen, and the people generally. Carroll Quigley
In fact, this network, which we may identify as the Round Table Groups, has no aversion to cooperating with the Communists, or any other groups, and frequently does so. Carroll Quigley

But, the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. "The Power of financial capitalism had [a] far reaching plan, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole.
This system was to be controlled in a feudalistic fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent meetings and conferences.
The apex of the system was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world's central banks, which were themselves private corporationsEach central bank sought to dominate its government by its ability to control treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence co-operative politicians by subsequent rewards in the business world."

Since launching The Hustle 6 months ago we realized something big: the world is full of a ton of misleading crap content. People like you and me have to sift through hundreds of headlines just to figure out what’s going on in the world and what it means. That’s why we created this site...to create our own original content that wasn’t, you know, crap.
But over the past few months we also realized we needed to do more. While spending 14 days on LSD is a worthy read, we were missing out on current events.
Because of that, today we’re launching a daily email that explains the most important stuff going on in the world of business, tech, and culture and what it means to young, ambitious professionals like yourself.
This daily email will be like your smart, good-looking and no bullsh*t internet friend summarizing the big news stories over a cup of overpriced coffee or whatever you people drink these days.
We’ll still be creating the original content you know us for and will put those stories in the daily email. Don’t you worry ‘bout that. But we’ll also spend each morning sifting through the news so you don’t have to waste hours on your bloated Facebook feed. Now you can do better stuff with your time, like browse Instagram.
Cool?
Since you’re already a subscriber to The Hustle you’ll already get the daily updates, so no need to sign up anywhere. And if you’re not into this, which is totally cool, then hit the unsubscribe button at the bottom and we’ll never talk to you again.
Let’s do this,
Sam, co-founder of The Hustle
PS: We’ll also be live streaming our daily editorial meetings on Facebook so you can tell us what you think we should cover. Like our Facebook page to see when those happen. Get you some.
We got a leak on our hands
Last year an anonymous source sent a German newspaper millions of documents from Mossack Fonseca, a Panama law firm that sets up shell companies to help wealthy individuals and companies hide their wealth.
Yesterday, those documents were made public in what Edward Snowden called the biggest leak ever.
What’s the problem? Aren’t shell companies legal?
Yes. In fact, up to 8% of the world’s wealth is held in “offshore tax havens” like Panama and the British Virgin Islands. Firms like Mossack Fonseca legally create anonymous shell companies to help clients maintain privacy. For example, Apple, has a shell company called SixtyEight Research to help keep their electric car plans under wraps. And lots of celebrities use shell companies when buying real estate since those transactions are generally public record.
This leak just revealed a whole lot of corruption
While most shell companies are set up for corporations, the leaked documents revealed hundreds of world leaders are hiding money in offshore accounts. And this is, well, kind of shady.
For example, Vladimir Putin appears to control $2 billion worth of offshore, nontaxable assets. The president of China, soccer star Lionel Messi, Jackie Chan and many drug cartels were also mentioned in the documents.
And get this: the Prime Minister of Iceland may be forced to resign after the leaked documents prove he secretly owned the debt of failed Icelandic banks while he was involved in negotiating their fate. Conflict of interest much?
But no Americans were named...
Details on this whole thing are still coming out, but so far the most significant takeaway is how far the world’s wealthiest people have gone to evade taxes...and how the most powerful nations allow it to happen. Additionally, the documents suspiciously do not include any Americans, prompting the German paper to tweet that... <<<<<< N.B from Jumbotweet: auto-truncated at 4K characters on index page - Click here or on the "view" link to see entire jumbotweet! http://www.jumbotweet.com/ltweets/view/140677

The object of power is power."
from George Orwell's 1949 novel "1984"
Trump speaks the real honest truth. He knows that 55-year old jobless steelworker in Ohio likely will not be getting a job writing code for the Next Hot Thing and if he does code the 25 year old boss will not hire even if he gets a PhD. Trump knows we all got a job shelf life that is if u work for some one else. Job training programs r for the young not the middle age, long term jobless r disabled. Employers as Trump knows as a boss do not want any job gaps on that resume if u got a few you best be doing somethingfor money if not you get a red flag
"Africa is extremely rich in many resources, from agriculture to oil, minerals, and a huge variety of other resources used all around the world. If African nations were able to develop their own economies, use their own resources, and create their own industries and businesses, they could become self-sufficient at first, and then may become a force of great competition for the established industries and elites around the world. After all, Europe does not have much to offer in terms of resources, as the continent's wealth has largely come from plundering the resources of regions like Africa, and in becoming captains of monetary manipulation. A revitalized, vibrant, economically independent and successful Africa could spell the end of Western financial dominance. "
Andrew Gavin Marshall
"The technetronic era involves the gradual appearance of a more controlled society. Such a society would be dominated by an elite, unrestrained by traditional values. Soon it will be possible to assert almost continuous surveillance over every citizen and maintain up-to-date complete files containing even the most personal information about the citizen. These files will be subject to instantaneous retrieval by the authorities."
Zbigniew Brzezinski in his 1970 book "Between Two Ages: America's Role in the Technetronic Era"
"Our leaders are cruel because only those willing to be inordinately cruel and remorseless can hold positions of leadership in the foreign policy establishment. People capable of expressing a full human measure of compassion and empathy toward faraway powerless strangers do not become president, or major CEO, prime minister, or national security adviser."
It doesn't happen."
author John le Carre
"Some of the character traits exhibited by serial killers or criminals may be observed in many within the political arena. They share the traits of psychopaths who are not sensitive to altruistic appeals, such as sympathy for their victims or remorse or guilt over their crimes. They possess the personality traits of lying, narcissism, selfishness, and vanity. These are the people to whom we have entrusted our fate. Is it any wonder that America is failing at home and world-wide?"
Jim Kouri
"We are on the verge of global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the New World Order."
David Rockefeller - statement to the United Nations Business Council, 1994
"We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time magazine, and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost 40 years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supra-national sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries."
David Rockefeller - Council on Foreign Relations, June 1991
Sociopathic leaders are perhaps not so much immoral as they are amoral. It's not that they take pleasure in causing so much death and suffering. It's that they just don't care. The same that could be said about a sociopath. As long as the death and suffering advance the agenda of the empire, as long as the right people and the right corporations gain wealth and power and privilege and prestige, as long as the death and suffering aren't happening to them or people close to them, then they just don't care about it happening to other people, including the American soldiers whom they throw into wars and who come home - the ones who make it back alive - with Agent Orange or Gulf War Syndrome eating away at their bodies. Sociopathic leaders would not be in the positions they hold if they were bothered by such things. They can at once fill your pockets with money, exploit your carnal mind and cause you to lose your soul
the only leverage that matters in all social media is one must have numbers or one must have money, those with money have numbers, numbers alone does not make money but fans
"The total result of the manipulation of society by the Establishment elite has been four major wars in sixty years, a crippling national debt, abandonment of the Constitution, suppression of freedom and opportunity, and creation of a vast credibility gulf between the man in the street and Washington, D.C.. While the transparent device of two major parties trumpeting artificial differences, circus-like conventions, and the cliché of "bipartisan foreign policy" no longer carries credibility, and the financial elite itself recognizes that its policies lack public acceptance, it is obviously prepared to go it alone without even nominal public support."
Antony C. Sutton in his book "Wall Street and the Rise of Hitler", 1976
"More than fifty years ago the J.P. Morgan firm decided to infiltrate the Left-wing political movements in the United States. This was relatively easy to do, since these groups were starved for funds and eager for a voice to reach the people. Wall Street supplied both. The purpose was not to destroy ... or take over but was really threefold: (1) to keep informed about the thinking of Left-wing or liberal groups; (2) to provide them with a mouthpiece so that they could "blow off steam," and (3) to have a final veto on their publicity and possibly on their actions, if they ever went "radical".
Carroll Quigley in his book "Tragedy and Hope"
Americans are too broadly underinformed to digest nuggets of information that seem to contradict what they know of the world.
Tom Fenton
Carroll Quigley in his book "Tragedy and Hope"
"Ever since the days of Henry Ford, the Economic Elite have needed a thriving US middle class to increase growth and profits, but now, in the global economy, they view the US middle class as obsolete. They increasingly look globally for profits and they would rather pay cheap labor in countries like China and India. Over 40% of the profits earned by the Fortune 500 are based from sales out side of the USA. They off shore most of those profits out side of the USA under USA tax laws.
Andrew Gavin Marshall
During the past two centuries when the peoples of the world were gradually winning their political freedom from the dynastic monarchies, the major banking families of Europe and America were actually reversing the trend by setting up new dynasties of political control through the formation of international financial combines. These banking dynasties had learned that all governments must have sources of revenue from which to borrow in times of emergency. They had also learned that by providing such funds from their own private resources, they could make both kings and democratic leaders tremendously subservient to their will."
Carroll Quigley in his book "Tragedy and Hope"
Gary Allen in his book "The Rockefeller File"
We Americans are the ultimate innocents. We are forever desperate to believe the words of the rich no matter how packaged than the wisdom of the HaveNots
"The men the American people admire most extravagantly are the most daring liars; the men they detest most violently are those who try to tell them the truth."
H. L. Mencken
"Do you begin to see, then, what kind of world we are creating?... A world of fear and treachery and torment, a world of trampling and being trampled upon, a world which will grow not less but more merciless as it refines itself."
'Daesh' and their associates are the 21st century barbarians:
"They have pillaged the world. When the land has nothing left for men who ravage everything, they scour the sea. If an enemy is rich, they are greedy; if he is poor, they crave glory. Neither East nor West can sate their appetite. They are the only people on earth to covet wealth and poverty with equal craving. They plunder, they butcher, they ravish, and call it by the lying name of 'empire'. They make a desert and call it 'peace'."
Publius Cornelius Tacitus - a historian of the Roman Empire
Most Americans probably aren't aware that there was a time in this country when tanks and cavalry were massed on Pennsylvania Avenue to chase away the unemployed.
Andy Grove
Americans are outraged at such at North Kora cruel and senseless sentence to a college guy......however, jan American in Louisiana who was sentenced to 13 years for simply possessing two joints. We are the masters of hypocrisy
North Korea gets body slammed by USA. USA got no fault laws 4 police that result in death. Under no knock warrants, police stops, frisk stops r 4 any cause u are subject to being detained, beaten, choked r killed. Under pot laws in other countries, as in the US, Americans are guilty even if proven innocent. If suspected of transporting pot or other drugs, your money, home, vehicle all assets can be confiscated, and there's not much you can do about it even if you are never charged. Under USA drug laws u can get 20 yrs 4 an oz of drugs.
Trump’s “precisely the kind of scapegoating, promise-making, feadriving and deceiving demagogue” the the #GOP has sought since the 1930s to counter the NEW DEAL and Progressives.
How dare ANYONE in the GOP point to government and accuse it of ineffective watch-dogging when the modus operandi of the Conservative movement since Regan has been to discredit government, de-stabilize, de-fund, de-regulate and de-construct its institutions - most notability the EPA - and then with brazen hypocrisy turn around and blame those very weakened organizations for failing to protect people from the very forces that the GOP aided and abetted in profiting from the dysfunction of our protective agencies. Sickening rhetoric. Utterly sickening GOP pony show blaming the system they created and demanding the people they fund at the EPA fall on the sword. They have no sense of honor, no shame, what utter mendacity, what gall andno sense of smell but to cover their azz with a web of lies and neurotic defense as if they are shocked by their own failure. The children will require life time of care, but they know that early death, poverty and prison is going to be the fate of many if not most and many will pass their damaged genes to the next generations to come. #FLINT is not the tip of the ice berg. There is no second chance with the disaster that is coming with an system that is falling apart. Disease does not give a hot damn about the USA or the GOP it's an equal opportunity killer of rich poor fools and famous.
Some faith in humanity restored; there is at least one place on earth where an American fratboy behavior actually has consequences with out a keep out of jail pass and mama's tears nor dad's wallet or pals can not help in NORTH KOREA. So why in the hell do very smart, educated, and Ugly Americans of means seek out to visit the big infamous prison ghetto of North Korea and expect and demand USA to bail their azz out when things go very bad. Ugly Americans r not only stupid but #1 in being naive, thoughtless, reckless and arrogant.
The NFL is an international system of contracts and corporations backed by the might of nation states and central banks - it determines the totality of life on this planet for billions of people. CTE is not a roadblock but a slow down of the game and NFL is the same - throw, hit, run. It is the natural order of things today not just Sunday but everyday! The NFL is quantum world brawn and brains connected by the physics of hope and money, the structure of self interest of greed and glory as mined by the immutable by-laws of business.
I.G. Farben, a German company, was the largest chemical manufacturing enterprise in the world during the early part of the 20th century. As such the company had many holdings in a variety of countries, including America. The American holdings of I.G. Farben included Bayer Co., General Aniline Works, Agfa Ansco, and Winthrop Chemical Company.
I.G. Farben was critical in the development of the German economy and war machine leading up to WWII. During this time I.G. Farben's international holdings along with its international business contracts with companies like Standard Oil, DuPont, Alcoa, and Dow Chemical were crucial in supplying the Nazi regime with the materials needed for war as well as financial support.
@rockermom53 In the 1930's many major corporations were sympathetic to fascism including William Randolph Hearst, Joseph Kennedy (JFK's father), Charles Lindbergh, John Rockefeller, Andrew Mellon (head of Alcoa, banker, and Secretary of Treasury), DuPont, General Motors, Standard Oil (now Exxon), Ford, ITT, Allen Dulles (later head of the CIA), Prescott Bush, National City Bank, and General Electric.
When the USA captures a highly valued target and gives such target to Iraqi authorities they expect said target will be freed by his allies and friends. This a political game where USA operatives DIE
4 decades gop exploited/race baited white fears/anxieties but now has the gall/mendacity to call trump a bigot. let all that's evil of mud hatch out. it is part of their method of operation
“The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country.”
― Edward L. Bernays, Propaganda
“It is a sort of managerial aristocracy that quietly determines what we buy and how we vote and what we deem as good or bad. “They govern us,” the author writes, “by their qualities of natural leadership, their ability to supply needed ideas and by their key position in the social structure.”
― Edward L. Bernays, Propaganda
“Universal literacy was supposed to educate the common man to control his environment.
― Edward L. Bernays, Propaganda
Effort should be made to see that the forum-type programs (the 'Today Show,' 'Meet the Press,' etc.) afford at least as much opportunity for supporters of the American system to participate as these programs do for those who attack it. Lewis F. Powell, Jr.
Perhaps the single most effective antagonist of American business is Ralph Nader, who - thanks largely to the media - has become a legend in his own time and an idol of millions of Americans. Lewis F. Powell, Jr.
@tanehisicoates The Blk American gene pool was damaged by over 300 years of mental/physical insults resulting in many chronic diseases, mental illness & early death. I am witness to the resulting impacts on America across all manner of lines. It's not acknowledge but it's widely known but with out action of policy, law or service beyond prison and the grave.
Black males due to their economic lot and status cast for the most part the role of supporters not as primary protectors, healers, warriors and providers. Few are public authority and power figures beyond church or the military. They channel aggression into sports and the streets not in business where most work as the rank and file not management, into church and at home. In the end the professional is often underpaid, over educated/overly qualified and not often promoted. They shout at church and at times fell depressed at work.
I could go on the subject about Blk women but it remains the same but is more complex. All must live with PTSD, depression and the many chronic illness that insult them and their loved ones and as women they are often the care givers.
In the end Blk Americans continue to suffer with out proper medical care, income relief or service aid due to slavery and racism that damaged their gene pool
Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele, the prosecutor handling Cosby's case, said there is no evidence of a signed immunity agreement as to his prior civil deposition. Cosby's lawyers did not attach one to their recent motion to dismiss the case, but is seeking to delay, and obstruct the court for trial by legal motions. Mr Steele seeks to admit to court the modius of operation from Cosby's deposition of drugging and raping of over 20 women as to their testimony. The Cosby lawyers seeks to keep all and any prior civil testimony and deposition (including Mrs Cosby) out of court. The Hail Mary for Cosby is his age, current state of mind and health.
Cruz Must Read About His Right: Congress has the power to impose the condition subsequent of residence in this country on appellee, who does not come within the Fourteenth Amendment's definition of citizens as those "born or naturalized in the United States," and its imposition is not unreasonable, arbitrary, or unlawful.
The affluent are, on average, less likely to exhibit empathy, less likely to respect norms and even laws, more likely to cheat, than those occupying lower rungs on the economic ladder.
Former Montgomery County District Attorney Bruce Castor previously decided not to charge Cosby in the 2004 incident, saying that court proceedings would portray both Cosby and the victim in “a less than flattering light.”
Sept 2015 I know it's true said Carly Fiorina because I saw the video and Fox News backs me on it. Planned Parenthood aborts unborn babies at 7 months. Look I am a exCEO of a major company and I know what I am talking about. Donald Trump eats babies. Will you look at that skin not a day over 40 tops. And that hair he only eats White babies strawberry blonds I would guess. Let's defund Trump and while we are at it put a ban on blonds coming in from Syria
The tackle made by Marcus Trufant caused Lewis' head to accelerate in his helmet at 30 to 60 g's, according to a study done by Virginia Tech. Researchers at VT collect data with the Head Impact Telemetry System, which plants sensors and wireless transmitters in helmets. Stefan Duma, director of the university's Center for Injury Biomechanics, states, "We see 100-g impacts all the time, and several over 150 g's."
