PUBLIC ADVISORY | Davao Light announces 15-minute scheduled power interruptions on April 10 and 13. Details here:
Davao Light and Power Co. will conduct 15-minute power interruptions on April 10 and 13 affecting customers connected to its Panacan, Buhangin, Ecoland, Matina and Bangkal feeder lines.
These outages will be necessary to facilitate the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines' upgrading works on its Davao Substation.
To keep the power interruptions within the least possible time, loads connected to the Davao Line will be transferred to ERA line on April 10, Friday, for 15-minutes only between 12:00 a.m. to 01:00 a.m..
Customers affected by this are those along McArthur Highway from Matina Town Square up to Ulas Police Station which includes the entire areas of Matina, Catalunan Grande and Bangkal.
Normalization or return of loads back to its normal set up will implemented in two schedules on April 13, Monday.
The first 15-minute service disruption will be anytime between 4:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.. This affects the entire areas of Ecoland, Matina, Catalunan Grande and Bangkal including areas of Magtuod, Langub and Maa.
Meanwhile, the second 15-minute power outage will be implemented anytime between 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.. Particular customers affected are those along diversion road from Dumanlas Buhangin going to crossing Panacan up to Holcim in Ilang. This includes areas of Sasa and Panacan proper.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience of these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
PUBLIC ADVISORY | Low pressure to no water in some areas in Davao City. DCWD explains details:
Following the Mindanao-wide power interruption that started at 12:50 AM today and ended at around 4:00 AM, connections under the following water supply systems are still experiencing low water pressure to no water: (as of 7:00 AM)
*Dumoy Water Supply System (WSS)
*Tugbok WSS
*Cabantian WSS
*Panacan WSS
*Lubogan WSS
*Riverside WSS
Although the power cut was shorter in duration, DCWD needs additional time for pressure build up and line delivery aside from the re-switching on of the affected facilities. This explains why these water supply systems have not yet fully recovered.
We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. And we ask for your understanding and cooperation.
The general public may call the Central Information Unit / Call Center through the 24-hour hotline 297-DCWD (3293) and press “1” on their phone dial to listen to latest daily water updates.
They may also call / text 0927-7988966, 0925-5113293 and 0908-4410653 for other updates, complaints, queries and matters pertaining to DCWD services.
