“If at first you don’t succeed try,try and try again,”Robert Bruce King of Scotland is said to have told his troops before walloping the English at Bannockburn in 1314. According to the legend, Bruce was hiding from his English pursuers in a cave when he saw a spider spinning a web, trying to make a connection from one area of the roof to another. Each time the spider failed, it began again, till it succedded . Inspired by this, Bruce returned to inflict a series of defeats on the English, winning him more supporters and eventual victory. This is a lesson that Mr. L.K. Advani seems to be taking for his next Rath Yatra, which some are speculating as his next foray for the post of Prime Minister of India. He will be the most acceptable to all the present NDA partners as well as potential ones nearer the time if BJP manages to garner highest number of Lok Sabha seats in the next elections. It will also prevent any leadership fracas within the BJP as he is time tested and the most seasoned leader in the Party with a squeaky clean image.
