When challenged in a video interview by @3am about his fans' threats and asked if he would tell them to lay off, Joe said ‘I appreciate all the support I get from them’ and ‘I’m not going to tell them to lay off’ and when the interviewer said ‘I’ve never felt so threatened in my life’ Joe laughed and replied 'Well you can't mess with the McElderry fans' (interview 24/5/10 at http://www.3am.co.uk/we-talk-to-joe-mcelderry-about-twitter-justin-bieber-and-cheryl-cole---video/22513/ )
