According to the statistics of the killings, 88.9% of all dead black residents of the United States died at the hands of black residents of the United States. In other words, representatives of all other racial and ethnic groups (whites, Hispanics, Asians), who together make up 87.3% of the US population, are responsible for 11.1% of the total number of dead African Americans. At the same time, African Americans, representing 12.7% of the total US population, are responsible for the deaths of 88.9% of African Americans. Thus, the risk of an African American being killed by an African American exceeds his risk of being killed by a representative of any other racial or ethnic group exactly 55 times.
