This tradition is said to have originated (or made famous) from Malaysia and is only a popular practice here in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. The dish combines about 27 different ingredients that include raw fish strips, lime, carrot, green radish, white radish, peanut and others, each with their own symbolic meanings.
