@runDisney #C'MonMan #RunDisney #NeverAgain #Disney I ran the 2013 Food and Wine Half and it started at 10pm on a Saturday and Epcot was open to runners and their guests immediately following the race. I enjoyed this race so much for that reason I tried to sign up for it the next few years. Unfortunately I was always late. However, this year I planned my day around the registration window and signed up. Now, I come to find out the race changed. It now starts at 5am on the Sunday and runners are not allowed into Epcot until 8pm. I wouldn't even be that mad at the time disparity if the event started on a Saturday, but for working folk,s we can't be partying well into Monday morning! That is ridiculous and void of any fun! Oh, and my wife has to buy two separate $45 tickets just to meet me at finish line and hours later go to the inconvenient after party? What's that all about? That used to be one charge as well! I can't even refund my ticket!? The whole point of the food and wine race is to enjoy the food and wine festival IMMEDIATELY after! Not spend $120 more per person to gain admission or wait until you are exhausted and go to some dinky after party on what amounts to a weeknight! As long as this is the way Disney wants to conduct its race, I will never participate again.
