GNMS had its first ever Primary Arabic Spell Bee on 28th February 2016.
The focus of the contest was not only in spelling the words and "getting it right" but also in increasing their understanding of words, their meaning and use.
The benefits of spellings extend beyond language: since children are required to spell words while on stage, kids also develop self-confidence, communication and public speaking skills, and the ability to thrive under pressure.
Students from grade 1 to 4 had selection round during their regular Arabic classes and the winners had the opportunity to be part of the final spell bee event.
