@CustomsBorder - This is an incident that took place at the CBP Office in San Jose International Airport with Officer Peterson at about 10:30 AM on Tuesday, 12th January, 2016.
I went in to get the i94 expiration date corrected as they had a misprint based on my old Visa. The officer was very rude and inconsiderate. He went on and on about how long I stayed in the US, why did I not go back to "my country" after my H1-B expired, the program was designed to take the experience back "home" and not take an American's job. He then created a big fuss about renewing the passport in America (which was back in 2011) & that it messes up their computer system. At one point he even refused to correct the stamp and asked me to leave! I was as polite as I could since I had to get my work taken care of. That being said, he still cut down on my i94 validity by 6 months. But his attitude with me was so rude that I did not want to get any clarification.
Such behavior is not acceptable and I need you to take this seriously. I also need a response to this complaint. It is unfortunate that in-spite of us following such a long Green card process to show how committed we are to contributing to the success and economy of America, we still face so many hurdles in getting "accepted".
