I HEARD HER ARROGANT RANT AGAINST THE UNITED STATES WITH AN AFFECTED BRITISH ACCENT WITH AN UNDERTONE OF SOMETHING ELSE. I GOT TIRED OF LISTENING TO THE LIES AND I WANTED TO KNOW WHO SHE WAS. SOMETHING DIDN'T SOUND RIGHT.
SHE IS A BRITISH SUBJECT -- born in London to a BRITISH mother & a IRANIAN Moslem father. She spent her elementary school years in Tehran and the rest in exclusive British boarding schools.
Amanpour moved to the United States to study journalism at the University of Rhode Island's Harrington School of Communication and Media--while there, she worked in the news department at WBRU-FM in Providence, Rhode Island. She also worked for NBC affiliate WJAR in Providence, Rhode Island, as an electronic graphics designer. In 1983, Amanpour graduated from the university summa cum laude with a B.A. degree in journalism.
