WELCOME WINTER! 55°F 10:30 AM Hey hey Giovanni here. Winter arrives later today and with it increasing clouds as another Pacific winter storm brings us a chance of rain late tonight. Expect today's daytime highs in the mid 50s and overnight lows in the mid 40s.

Rain arrives late tonight with snow falling above 4500ft. We may see up to 1" of rain with 6-8" of snow at resort level through Sunday evening before clearing arrives late. Monday looks partly cloudy and dry but another possibility of rain and snow as low as 3000ft will develop on Tuesday into Christmas day as a series of cold but weak systems affect NorCal. Zero accumulation of snow is expected in NC /GV, with upper foothill communities like Banner and Cascade Shores maybe receiving a light dusting. Not even the Sierra is expected to receive much snow as this system is expected to be more of a slider with the upper Low too far off the coast to really bring a lot of moisture. The rest of the week looks unsettled as another weak system impacts our weather.

The long range forecast looks to remain unsettled through the last days of the year. No major storms are on tap, with January potentially starting out dry.
