The gentleman who approved the astonishingly anserine attack over Hawaii on Dec. 7, 1941, was the reviled Jap General Hideki Tojo. Five years later, as he awaited trial in Tokyo for war crimes, Tojo asked to have his teeth repaired. The job was given to Navy dentist E.J. Mallory, who, contrary to professional ethics, but with the spirit of a mischievous patriot, inscribed the new dentures with a Morse code rendition of “Remember Pearl Harbor.” Tojo was hung in 1948. .-. . — . — -… . .-.Remember .–. . .- .-. -..
