The U.S. Dollar has been the world’s most important currency since World War II. But it has never been the “strongest,” as measured against the worth of some other nations’ money. Today, as example, the Kuwait Dinar is worth $3.30, the Bahraini Dinar $2.60, the Oman OMR $2.60, the British pound $1.50, and the Europan Euro (19 countries) $1.10. On the other side of it, today’s weakest currencies are the Iranian Riyal 30,000 to the dollar, the San Tome and Principe dobra 21,000, the Belarus ruble 17,700, the Indonesian rupiah 14,700 and the Laotian kip 8,150.
