Some student radicals crazy in love with Che & Mao & Marx came by the student hangout in Austin,TX trying to recruit volunteers for this to harvest sugar cane in Cuba. I was afraid I would get arrested by the FBI or something & I had heard some horrific things about what Castro & his gang of cutthroats were doing to people so I finished my coffee and got the hell out of these.
Some of the staffers of the alternative newspaper did go & I don't recall ever seeing any of them again. Who knows what happened to them?
It reminded me of a pimp who charms his victims into the trap of prostitution.
