The New York Times reports it was told by three sources that Donald Trump's chief of staff, Reince Priebus, had been among those urging Trump to cancel today's meeting with the paper, arguing he would face questions he might not be prepared to answer. The sources told the Times that Priebus told Trump, inaccurately, that the paper had changed the conditions of the meeting, which he believed would result in a cancellation. Trump is set to meet with the Times' publisher, Arthur Sulzberger, in an off-the-record session beginning at 12:30 p.m. ET. Following that meeting, Times journalists and editorial columnists will meet with the president-elect for a longer, on-the-record session. -
