A small number of Blacks will vote for Trump. Some will even vote for
third party candidates. Some have bought into the hype and disinformation designed to suppress the black vote with claims that both candidates are too flawed to vote for.
Truth is, one candidate does have a history working with the African American community, and that’s Hillary Clinton, and she has earned our vote.
If Blacks don’t turn out and vote in significant numbers, but if other groups do turn out in significant numbers, and if their voting numbers turn the tide for Clinton, guess which group is likely to have more clout if she’s elected?
So, despite fairy tale notions about politics or how politics should be, politics is a “You scratch my back, I’ll scratch your back” reality. If we want our “backs scratched,” we need to turn out and vote, and vote against every Republican who supported Trump.
