Last week I completed my first 90 days in retail banking.....and I must say the experience thus far has been absolutely phenomenal. Every day continues to be better than the previous one....a key reason for me being so happy is that I get to know each and every one of you a little bit better each and every day.
Every time I encounter colleagues from outside of retail banking, they ask me "how is it going?".....my immediate first response is "I love it here!!!!!!!...." followed by.... "This is an amazing group of people in the District!!!!!!!...." I want to thank each and every one of you for making this such a special experience.
Why am I sharing this with you? With over 600 employees spread out over 26 branches I knew it would be difficult for us to immediately connect on a personal level. This is one of the reasons I opened a Twitter account (https://twitter.com/#!/oliveru), so that we could stay connected in "real time." Using social media is my way of sharing what I am thinking.... hopefully it is something we can all embrace so that we can experience this journey together.
I share this with you so that you have a better sense of who I am and what I care about. As well as;
to connect with you since we share similar interests.
because it is difficult for me to stay in touch as often as I would like.
to bring you valuable and hopefully entertaining content.
But most IMPORTANTLY, as a "call to action" so that we can breakaway from the "limiting beliefs" that hold us back from achieving an unmistakable greatness.
My tag line below is the best way to describe "my way" and it is my hope that you will not only view me as your leader but as a person who is approachable and genuinely interested in what you are thinking and how you are feeling.
