TOP’S WORLD TOUR BEHIND STORY
Hi this is TOP of Big Bang!!
I haven’t been able to talk to Korean fans for a while because of Big Bang’s world tour and because I have been shooting “Alumni.” But in a couple days it will be the Final! Korean concert so please be excited~
I think that during Big Bang’s world tour, I spent a lot of time in airplanes. You are curious about what our members do inside a plane, right?Some members order ramen as soon as they board, watch movies, or sleep to pass the time. (Especially if it is a long flight, I catch up on the sleep that I missed due to filming.)
But there is something that we all do. We read the fan letters that we recieve at the airport. I can’t reveal details but fan letters are filled with stories of fans and support messages, aside from the monitors of our concerts.
I feel sorry that I can’t always return the love to our fans, who write letters that are more fun to read than books, and that are filled with love and care. Once I read a fan letter, I feel good and I am able to be strong on stage.
I think I often say that I love you as my last comment at concerts. Before going on stage, I think a lot about what to say. Sometimes I improvise and say what I feel while thinking of the comments I had prepared when I see the fans. I want to be able to remember each and every passionate stare by all of the fans, and sometimes I may joke around and say that I love you, but it is true.^^
Honestly, we don’t have very many memories of going out during the world tour. Especially in some countries, it could be a safety hazard if fans gather around, so we spent a lot of our rest time inside the hotel.
In hot countries, the members and staff would go to the hotel and swim, but because I have to film for a movie, I spent a lot of time reading the script and practicing, as well as meeting with the director. (I met with him over phone multiple times.) I was so busy that the time passed very quickly.
Althought I barely got to go out during the tour, after the LA concert, I flew straight to New York and enjoyed some alone time.
I didnt do anything special, but I went to all of my favorite restaurants, and that was fun for me. I want to recommend to you a famous hamburger place Shake Shack Burger, and Totto Ramen.
I usually am very interested in furniture, so I have memories of going to furniture stores in New York. Shopping is often for clothes or shoes, but since I enjoy furniture, I didnt even notice that the time was flying. (Sorry to my manager hyung who had to go with me everywhere..^^;)
There’s one more reason why I remember New York so well. When I went to New York first, I didn’t go alone. My mom and my aunts also came to watch the NY concert, so we got to spend time together. While promoting with Big Bang, I rarely get to spend time with my family, but I was able to have a meaningful time in New York. My mom enjoyed riding a horse carriage around central park, and my aunts who love art enjoyed going to MOMA. Although I couldn’t go with them, I feel their happiness.
I want to tell you that I think we were able to successfully end the world tour thanks to you all. I once again realized that so many of you love me, and I learned a lot from visiting fans from every country. I realized that the way or fans touch us is so deep, when I see that foreigners write their fan letters in korean, or when I see fans crying from just seeing us. It was difficult managing my schedule with the tour and my filming, and there were even unbearable hardships. But I was able to become more mature by going through this with the fans.
Also, the movie is almost done filming!!^^ To meet with you all in the future, even when I get tired or frustrated, I will try to become a better TOP and show a hardworking Big Bang.
I wanted to share more fun stories, but there isn’t anything special that happened worth sharing during the tour or while filming.
Sorry that couldn’t share funny stories like the other members did. I will try to tell you some during our next world tour.^^

# TOP’s mom’s story
Hi I am Big Bang’s TOP, Seunghyun’s mom. I was able to go to New York to travel, watch a Big Bang concert, and spend my son Seunghyun’s birthday with him.
I was shocked to see how much my son has grown up as well as the amazing Big Bang concert. The memories of seeing so many different skin colors, old people, and children singing along to Big Bang’s songs shocked me and will always be in my heart.
