THE HEAT IS ON! 68°F 7:30AM Hey hey Giovanni here. Hotter summer days are here! Highs today will be reaching into the low 90s with overnight lows in the mid 60s.
High pressure stationed over the desert SW, will be bringing us dry hotter weather with the possibility of Sierra t'storms along the Sierra crest. These t'storms will be wettest over western Nevada, but hikers and campers in the Sierra should remain aware of the potential for wet weather. We will be reaching for the mid 90s throughout the week under mostly sunny skies.
The long range forecast looks to remain dry, except along the sierra crest where t'storm activity looks possible. Stay cool and hydrated and only swim in lakes, as flows are too unpredictable and deadly along the Yuba.
