SHOWERS POSSIBLE! 54°F 6:00AM Hey hey Giovanni here. Our weather will become unsettled as a cold front drapes across far Northern California bringing us a chance of showers or afternoon t'storms by this afternoon. Snow levels will remain high today as a colder air mass will remain to our north. Today's temperatures will reach the mid 60s with cool overnight lows in the mid 40s.
A zonal flow along a cold front will lower snow levels to around 5500ft on Tuesday as a colder air mass drops into NorCal. This may trigger showers and maybe scattered t'storms through Tuesday evening before clearing out. Wednesday looks dry, but our weather will become unsettled and potentially showery on Thursday as an inside slider drops down into the Great Basin and the Sierra bringing us a slight chance of showers and snow showers along the Sierra crest. Friday and Saturday look dry and warmer with maybe a chance of showers on Sunday, but I'm not too optimistic about that as warmer dry spring days are on the way.
The long range forecast is highly variable which typically tends to favor dry weather. I'm seeing signs of our first really warm spring days on the way as the storm track is looking to weaken significantly in the coming weeks allowing for High pressure to establish a dry mid spring pattern. Have a marvelous Monday!
