SHOWERS POSSIBLE! 39°F 10:30 AM Hey hey Giovanni here. I hope you got up early enough to see a wintry mix this morning at around 2500ft with just a light dusting of snow above 3000ft. Temperatures are now on the rise ending the low snow chances. As expected the trough remains too far offshore to really impact our weather. Sierra resorts may see 1-2" of snow, but dry and chilly otherwise as this storm dives south along the coast toward SoCal. Expect today's daytime highs in the low 40s and overnight lows in the mid 30s.
Partly cloudy skies will be with us times through Saturday as High pressure dries us out. Another storm looks to impact our weather on Sunday as a trough pushes inland rain amounts look light with snow levels rising to 4500ft. The last few days of the year look dry, but remain chilly.
The long range forecast doesn't look too wet as global weather patterns don't look favorable for any major storms to develop in early January.
