TODAY'S FORECAST

SHOWERS AND T'STORMS! 39°F 6:00AM Hey hey Giovanni here. Chilly this morning as a cold front is to our east. Instability showers lurk offshore in the cold air aloft that will create the possibility for the development of isolated t'storms in the valley this afternoon. Yesterday, the bulk of the storminess favored the American River drainage. Today, I think the t'storms will be a bit more widespread to the north.Time will tell. Be aware as these t'storms may produce frequent lightning, brief gusty winds and the possibility for small hail in the heavy showers. The upper level Low will sweep inland this evening ending the shower threat overnight. Today's temps may reach the low 50s with overnight lows in the upper 30s.

Friday through Sunday looks dry with warmer days and cool nights. A wet storm looks likely for Monday with snow levels around 6000ft. This may be a wet storm with a continuing threat of rain through midweek as the potential for follow up storms is possible, but there's a lot of uncertainty at this time to get excited.

The long range forecast wants to keep us wet off and on through the middle of mid April. This is very typical as April can bring us just over 4" of rain on average so it's not unheard to start out wet. Have a terrific Thursday!
