TODAY'S FORECAST

SHOWERS AND SIERRA SNOW! 43°F 6:30AM Hey hey Giovanni here. Snow is falling above 6000ft and enough is sticking for chain restrictions at times over the Sierra summit. Check first before heading up as conditions are unsettled. Showers are expected to continue through this evening as rain lingers behind a cold front. The trough is expected to shift east late tonight ending most of the rain. Today's temperatures may reach the mid 50s with overnight lows in the mid 40s.

A drying trend starts to take shape on Memorial Day as High pressure attempts to dominate our weather. This will be a gradual drying period as lots instability and showers will likely continue through midweek along the Sierra. Warmer days will quickly follow as skies clear as the moisture and showers are limited to the highest slopes of the Sierra.

The long range forecast still looks to dry us out and warm us up by early next week. The low 80s will arrive with June as this stormy weather pattern finally shifts east.
