SHOWERS AND COOLER! 43°F 6:30AM Hey hey Giovanni here. Well that was wild! We received over 1" of rain yesterday evening and overnight. Snow levels are around 6000ft this morning with many inches of snow above 7000ft, prompting chain restrictions along I80 over the Summit. It sure looks like winter up there! Showers are expected to continue today with the possibility of t'storms this evening as an upper Low passes to our east. Today's temperatures may reach the low 50s with overnight lows in the low 40s.
Our weather will continue unsettled through Saturday with less rain before a weak storm arrives on Sunday bringing us the potential for another round of showers. We then begin to clear out by Wednesday or possibly sooner as this trough shifts east ending our shower chances and allowing us to warm up. This may be the last chance for rain and Sierra snow this season.
The long range forecast looks to dry out our rain chances by mid week as this El Niño pattern shifts east and we return to spring weather. Have a terrific Thursday!
