Remember when the U.S. went to war against one man in Iraq (Saddam Hussein, 2003)? The Pentagon said the effort would cost $50 billion. Now an extensive study completed at Brown University estimates the bill for America’s decade of combat in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan will be $4 trillion, including military refurbishing and long term care for the veterans. Four with 15 zeroes! This in a country that must borrow hundreds of billions annually to pay its bills. Much worse, the group found that 225,000 people (mostly civilians) have been killed. God.
