TODAY'S FORECAST - RAIN AND SIERRA SNOW ON THE WAY! 40°F 6:00AM

RAIN AND SIERRA SNOW ON THE WAY! 40°F 6:00AM Hey hey Giovanni here. Clouds will be on the increase as a fast moving storm approaches. This is a colder system with snow levels falling to 4500ft overnight. It's also not the wettest storm as it weakens coming ashore. Overall we may receive 0.50" of rain with the Sierra receiving 4-8" of snow above 7000ft, primarily after 6PM. Today's temps may reach the upper 40s with overnight lows in the upper 30s.

Saturday looks to start out mostly cloudy with a chance of showers. Clearing is expected later in the day. Sunday looks dry. The forecast turns wet again on Monday as an Atmospheric River aims at NorCal. This won't be anywhere near as strong as the storm patterns we saw last month, but expect gusty winds, moderate to heavy rain at times and maybe up to 3" of rain and several feet of snow above 6000ft. I'll have more on that soon.

The long range forecast still looks wet off and on as we approach the end of March. April now looks to start out dry with a significant warming period. Rain also looks possible the first week of April. Have a fantastic Friday!
