Can you really trust what they say?

Most people say what they mean and mean what they say.
But politicians are a totally different breed. During the presidential campaign,
Republicans often went at it. Some called Donald Trump everything but that proverbial child of God. But that didn’t stop them wanting to be in his cabinet after he was elected.
Do greed and ambition nullify a person’s character and self-respect?
Ted Cruz:
Donald Trump is “a pathological liar, who’s utterly amoral, a narcissist at a level I don’t think this country’s ever seen and a serial philanderer. He’s proud of being a serial philanderer.” Now, Cruz is open to being a part of Trump’s administration.
Mitt Romney:
"Here's what I know: Donald Trump is a phony, a fraud. "His promises are as worthless as a degree from Trump University. He's playing members of the American public for suckers: He gets a free ride to the White House, and all we get is a lousy hat." Romney added, "dishonesty is Donald Trump's hallmark. A business genius he is not.”
Nikki Haley:
“Mr. Trump has definitely contributed to what I think is just irresponsible talk.”
All three have attacked Trump in very harsh terms, yet all three are eager and practically begging to be in the Trump administration. Of course, not all politicians are as unprincipled as these three and others, but it does make you wonder about their character, or lack thereof.
