Yes. He was used as a disposable prop that was cited as done by Oswald. Acquilla Clemons across the street reported that two men had shot Tippit and neither of them looked like Oswald. Oswald had a revolver which does not eject shells. Not sure it is true, but, Tippitt was said to resemble Kennedy. His body, same size weight with resemblance to JFK, was needed for the casket switch in case anyone became curious. Could just be a tale but read a lengthy piece on that one time. Oswald possibly warned the FBI of the plot in Chicago. Miami trip cancelled.
Seeing these sorry presidents today, I miss JFK tons. He was our friend.
