MORE RAIN! 49°F 7:30 AM Hey hey Giovanni here. The same mild westerly flow that has kept us wet for days it seems will keep the rain coming today, but we've got changes coming. A colder stronger system arrives later today with snow levels down to 5500ft, which as much 12" snow at resort level will prompt chain restrictions over the Summit this afternoon and overnight. Rain is expected to become moderate with up to 1" of rain through tonight. Expect today's daytime highs in the upper 40s and overnight lows in the mid 40s.

Saturday looks interesting as one storm clears out another storm arrives late in the day. Not a very wet system as it drops inland over Canada. Rain and snow amounts look to remain light, but snow levels may drop to 4500ft overnight before clearing out on Sunday. Sunny dry weather is expected Sunday/Tuesday. Forecast models continue to trend wet Wednesday/Thursday, but that storm may shift toward SoCal. More on this soon.

The long range forecast is looking to remain wet and bring us a strong storm around the 20/22 which is likely to impact travel into the Sierra. Make sure to consider weather in your holiday travel plans.
