@MINIUK Thinking of buying a 3rd Gen BMW Mini? Think twice people! 16k miles, 2 year old F56s. Only 6K in the last 12 months. Seat `leatherette' (can't be real leather surely? This stuff is worse than the stuff DFS & SCS use!) peeling away in 3 places. Told by local Mini dealer it was an `abnormality' & `Don't worry it will get sorted' `Repair too expensive, they'll replace under warranty' Booked me in only to then ring me up after to say they wouldn't swap it out but had done a repair job. What a bodge! Looks awful, absolutely gutted! Shocking treatment. This is the 5th quality issue I've had already (paint peeling, trims failing, seals deforming) not to mention the 2 QE's (they don't like to use the word `Recall') The main one was very worrying, Crankshaft guide baring shells. Was told mine had been done by the dealer only to find out they'd signed it off but hadn't actually done the job! I'm supposedly one of the `lucky' ones as others have had to have a new engine. The hoops you have to jump through. And all this whilst under warranty! Sales are wonderful at getting you in the cars, but once they have your money, forget it. I'm sure there are happy Customers out there, but I’m certainly not..happy or lucky! I've had the 1st Gen R53s & 2nd Gen R56, never had these issues. Wolf in sheep’s clothing! You've been warned!!
