LATE TO THE PARTY! 47°F 6:00AM Hey hey Giovanni here. Our storm is still sitting offshore waiting for an invitation to come ashore. When it does decide to visit us, you can expect moderate to heavy rain through this evening. It's not going to be as strong as the forecast models once advertised and we may see 1-2" of rain and up to 2 feet of snow above 7000ft with snow levels near 5000ft. This evening into tonight will be interesting as there may be enough instability and moisture for some isolated valley t'storms that may drift our way.Today's temps may reach the mid 50s with overnight lows in the low 40s.
Snow levels may drop to 4000ft on Thursday behind the cold front but little accumulation is expected. Another round of instability showers is possible in this very typical spring storm weather pattern. These showers will be possible through Thursday evening with sunny and warmer weather arriving Friday and staying with through Sunday. A chance of showers sneaks into the forecast early next week, but it's not looking overly wet or cold.
The long range forecast wants to keep us wet off and on through the middle of April. This is very typical as April can bring us just over 4" of rain on average so it's not unheard of to start out wet. Have a wonderful Wednesday!
