LAST DRY DAY FOR A WHILE! 38°F 7:30 AM Hey hey Giovanni here. LOOK! We are at 116% of normal snowfall for the Sierra! Those last few storms did the trick. No major snowstorms today as we have a day of quiet weather. High pressure will keep on the warm side of the jet stream for the time being so don't get excited about snow in the foothills anytime soon. We will however see myriad of clouds today as a weak system breaks upon High pressure inland. A few showers and Sierra snow showers are possible overnight. Expect today's daytime highs in the mid 50s and overnight lows in the mid 40s.
The next few days will be mostly unsettled and wet at times as a couple of weak systems impact our weather. A wetter storm on Friday may bring a better chance of rain, but that storm is not particularly that strong either with snow levels ranging from 5000 to 8000ft. I'll keep updating as we get closer to Friday.
The long range forecast is wanting to bring us a break early next week with another round of storminess later in the week. There's a growing trend for a stronger Christmas week storm. No details yet. Just a growing possibility.
