As you know Social Security received NO Cost of Living Allownce increase in 2016.
I am looking now at Impact.com Central Austin,TX edition which has emphasis on REAL ESTATE & particuliar RENTS.
From 2012to 2016, here is a sample of rent increases in 6 Austin,TX neighborhoods.
RENT INCREASES
ALANDALE 46.2 %
ROSEDALE 66.7%
BRENTWOOD 54.1%
CRESTVIEW 62%
HIGHLAND 78.2%
NORTH LOOP 61.4%
We elderly have not been feeling much love politically and we traditionally have got out the vote. Every election, I transport people to the polls in Williamson Country and take some in Travis County if they ask me.
All we had this year was SATURATION coverage of Millenials --most of whom apparently voted for Bernie then NOT AT ALL.
