HOT AGAIN! STAY FROSTY! 88°F 10:30AM Hey hey Giovanni here. It's hot as High pressure aloft bakes us another day. Expect Highs to be similar to yesterday as Nevada City reached 96°F and Penn Valley flirted with the upper 90s. Highs through much of Western Nevada County will be reaching into the mid to upper 90s with overnight lows in the mid 60s.
High pressure will then weaken a bit on Monday and shift inland as a strong onshore flow cools us off a bit with highs dropping into the upper 80s or low 90s midweek. Still hot, just not as extreme. We are now in fire season. The snow has mostly melted and the ground has dried up. Please be fire safe and stay vigilant. Report any smoke plumes unless it's your neighbor's grill, then complain about why your weren't invited.
The long range forecast looks to remain dry and hot, except along the the sierra crest where t'storm activity looks likely off and on through early August.
