HEAVY RAIN TONIGHT! 46°F 7:30 AM Hey hey Giovanni here. Skies are partly cloudy this morning as the next wet storm has already developed offshore and heading our way. This storm is warmer, windier and wetter than the last keeping snow levels initially above 7000ft. We may see rain by this afternoon with heavy rain later. Rain totals may exceed 2" locally overnight. Expect today's daytime highs in the mid 50s and overnight lows in the mid 40s.

The storm will rage on through Saturday morning with Sierra snow above levels 7000ft, lasting through Sunday as several waves of moisture move ashore as this strong Pacific storm taps into an atmospheric river, bringing the resorts 1-3 feet of snow. The heavy rain will turn showery behind the cold front. Snow levels look to drop 5500ft on Sunday as colder unstable air filters inland. The possibility for valley thunderstorms looks good which may generate heavy rain and gusty winds. Will they reach us? Maybe. In total we may receive 3-4" of rain before this system clears late Sunday. Monday into Tuesday look dry and sunny, Next week still looks dry.

The long range forecast looks to bring us an extended break next week. We may be dry until the 4th week of December right with the possibility of storminess around Christmas. More on that soon.
