Germany's chief prosecutor Peter Frank has just said at a press conference that it should be known by late afternoon or evening whether a man currently in custody was the driver of the truck that drove into a crowd at a Berlin Christmas market, killing 12 people and injuring 48 others. Frank also said, "We must get used to the idea that he was possibly not the perpetrator." His comments follow a report in Die Welt that quoted a senior official as saying the wrong man is being held. Meanwhile, the Berlin Police have been tweeting that the suspect denies involvement, and that their investigation is still highly active, warning residents to be vigilant.
