Every vote for Trump is proof that Americans in 2016 are a lot dumber than they were in previous generations. One reason American workers are losing jobs is they have refused to increase their skills and education.
Business also has to share some responsibility with this situation. In other countries, business sets up apprentice programs to train workers. In this country business either allows jobs to go unfilled or they import workers with the skills they need.
The world is more competitive, yet many of Trump’s supporters still think they can land good jobs with barely a high school education. They also think being white is the only qualification they need.
Rather than blaming the person in the mirror for not going back to school, they resort to bigotry and are prepared to lash out at anyone who doesn't look like them. That approach, however, will cause deep divisions in this country as you can see at Trump rallies.
Despite Trump fans’ tendency to blame minorities, they fans fail to realize that a large number of America's military are composed of minorities. They are risking their lives in service of the country while Trump’s fans drink beer and whine about making America great again.
One way to make America great again is to reinstate the draft. Then, we will have a military where everyone else other than the poor and minorities will have to serve.
