This, by the way, as a little aside? This story's exactly why Trump's instinct to move very, very, very, very fast is right on the money. The Democrats are in total disarray. There's no one in charge except the New York Times and the Washington Post.
The New York Times and Washington Post are running the Democrat Party. The New York Times and Washington Post are running the Democrat Party opposition. The Democrat Party itself is gobsmacked; don't know what to do. Trump has just got to keep up this pace. They still don't know what's hit them! They have no way to oppose him other than try to convince people he's illegitimate. That's the only thing they've got, and that's what the media is trying to do. The New York Times, Washington Post, all the associated networks -- Politico, NBC -- are doing their best to tell people Trump cheated, the Russians treated, Trump's illegitimate, Hillary won the popular vote.
They have nothing to say for to themselves. They have no reason. They have nothing to say to the American people, "You should have us leading you because..." They have no answer. They have no way to finish that sentence. Everything they've been doing the last eight years has brought about abject misery and failure. The only thing they've got in their arsenal is to stop Trump's success by labeling him as illegitimate, and if he just keeps up this pace he's gonna run rings around them -- and I hope he does.
And I hope he continues to run rings around the New York Times, the Washington Post.
