DRYING OUT! 42°F 7:30 AM Hey hey Giovanni here. High pressure will bring a dry day, but a very active storm track will soon bring another set of storms. Expect today's daytime highs in the upper 40s and overnight lows in the upper 30s.
The forecast looks right on track to bring us a stronger wetter storm this weekend with snow falling above 4500ft. We may see 1-2" of rain with over 1-2ft of snow at resort level through Sunday. Our weather turns unsettled early next week as a couple of colder, but potentially disorganized storms and likely drier storms keep our weather wet with snow as low as 3500ft. There's a very slight chance or seeing non sticking snow on Christmas mixed in the rain showers below 3000ft, but zero accumulation is expected. I won't be surprised if this system gets removed entirely from the forecast and we instead dry out. It's not exactly the best storm for low snow or lots of rain.
The long range forecast looks to remain unsettled through Christmas with the possibility of another dry period as we head into the New Year.
