When you think of cool jazz and jazz fusion, you think of Miles Davis as a founding father. When you think of modern blues, you think of Willie Dixon, Howlin’ Wolf, BB King, Albert King, and others.
When you think of rock and roll, which borrowed from the blues, you have to think of Chuck Berry as a founding father along with Little Richard and Bo Diddley.
Today, we lost Chuck Berry. He was 90 years young. We’ll never forget his concert at Detroit’s Hart Plaza. Thanks for the music Chuck.
