Anyone who again mentions the integrated seating arrangement at the State of the Union address. Many in Congress sat next to members of the opposite party. Wow. Old advisories rubbed elbows. Jeepers. Why is it that every time these necktie fuddies do anything at all it’s considered to be news? When they break a shoelace, it’s news. When they break wind, same thing. They are not divinities, they should not be treated as celebrities, and they are seldom of much real interest. The press should report their legislative “efforts,” and pass up the blah.
