Taste of Money improved out of sight last start after being spanked by Deeming at Ballarat. Seems obvious that leading is more to her liking (both her wins were on pace). She is obviously a great chance of repeating, and Chris Symons will have a decent spring in his step after his two winners and a second in town yesterday.I guess she will get a soft lead here? I don't really want to back her as fav on this much bigger track, and yet to prove she can put two solid efforts in a row on the board.
Easy flyer wasn't on best part of track last start, but she didn't beat much in her fairly impressive maiden win.
Vainrite was stiff last start, checked at a crucial stage I am surprised she went so close to winning, and Newspaper has franked the form beating Squeaky Squirrel at Seymour. I like her off that run, but can she repeat 3rd up?? Had lots of short preps!
Deeming is an honest horse that doesn't win very often. I will be watching the ride with interest, I think Nathan Punch's lack
of confident vigour may have cost her the win last start, and don't think I have seen Nathan ride a live chance, cluttered
on inside yet. I know it's only ten days ago, but ya gotta watch these kids closely as when the "penny drops" their 4kg claim
can be gold, and I am thinking Nathan showed better balance, and confidence with the stick winning on Griante recently, and am hopeful that now is the time to make use of his 4kg claim, see how he goes.
Interesting race, expecting winner to come from Taste of Money, Vainrite or Deeming....but all 3 have niggling negatives to dampen
confidence.

Zanteca is a big upside runner, and another that will love the spacious Pakenham track....Nice formlines 2nd up last prep...
Despite being a 5yo she is the only runner in this race with a future in Saturday Metro company and possibly beyond. She should be odds-on, or very close to odds-on in this !
Magnus Slipper has only once missed a hole when clearly out of her depth, I think what she did last start is about her mark. Can't see her missing a place, but beating Zanteca?
Flying Aurora many may think was a big win last start, but she had EC and couldn't run faster time than the maiden. Not much upside in her. Honest, but limited.
Love Field could get a sneaky map, Fortress Madonna has had some excuses.
Zanteca the right one, if skinny odds is your thing.

Ferro Nero had "back me next start" written all over it when terribly held up last start. There are 5 subsequent winners
from beaten runners (they've had 3 months to clock up some winners so no huge point). Ferro is gunna LOVE the unbelievable amount of room the horses get on this track ! I think the track played fair on day one of its opening. There were some very impressive winners down the outside (which was actually the middle, so much fckn room out there!) but inside runners still went okay. If ever you would be confident of a mid-back fence runner avoiding being held up, it'd be here or Flemington!
Gunna kick myself if it wins without me, BUT , the fact is there are 5 first starters (including one with Weir next to its
name) and other lightly raced horses, some with decent-moderate excuses (Sharif for Hayes a Forgive its only start). Melb is very frustrating for these maidens with all the first starters. Unlike other states, they don't make it easy to research trials/jump-outs which is a pity as it must impact turnover when cautious judges won't bet due to not having the time/resources to manually dig out each horses jump out. Am loving "Racing.com" as a tool for form,if they introduced easy to access jump-out footage/information, it'd be a 9.5/10 site (no such thing as 10/10 haha)
