Stockton, CA via Firefighters Local 456 Update On Firefighters Injured:
This morning a SUV collided with Engine 12, killing a passenger in the SUV and injuring all others involved. Two firefighters were transported to a local hospital after receiving bruises from the accident, both released hours after. The third firefighter on the engine received treatment for a head injury and was transported to a hospital in South Sacramento. He is being held over night for observation, with various levels of pains throughout his body and specifically his shoulder. He is otherwise awake, oriented, and in good spirits.
One of the firefighters released earlier stated that he was "doing good, little banged up. Just glad [our other guys] are alright."
